Twice-weekly raid resets being tested in Taiwan and Korea starting this week

This change will not apply to the Deathwing raid, which will reset once a week as usual, nor will the weekly valor point cap be changing. The change is, according to the post, meant to allow people to gear up faster by killing bosses twice as often. There is currently no word on whether this will play solely to Taiwanese servers, or to all regions. If it does come to U.S. servers, it is likely our reset will revolve around Tuesday downtime, making the ideal second-reset day Friday.
Check after the break for a quick and dirty Google translation of the post.
UPDATE: Community Manager Zarhym has posted the following:
The new raid lockout changes for Taiwan and Korea adjust the lockout timers for the patch 4.0 and 4.2 raids. The lockout timers for these raids will now reset twice weekly instead of once. These raid lockout changes are being made to allow players to raid more often and get more chances at epic loot drops. Players will be able to down current Cataclysm raid bosses twice a week, accelerating players' progression.
We are testing these new raid lockout changes in Taiwan and Korea first. Our goal is to expand this change to other regions in the future, but we don't have anything further to announce at this time with regard to North American implementation.

October 27, the server maintenance, we will apply for the 4.0 and 4.2 copies of the progress of the team resets the changes, once the current progress of 7 days reset, reset the two into one week. Progress will be reset every week for the first time on Thursday morning 09:00, the second progress will be reset at 09:00 on Sunday.
This change will not affect the courage points. Courage maximum points will still be reset on Thursday, the courage to kill the leader of the points is obtained as before. For a copy of the progress of the team resets the changes will not apply in the 4.3 update in the soul of the dragon raid. So far, only a copy of the death of the wing team will be on Thursday reset.
This change is a team willing to make a copy of the players who have more access to equipment. Despite the courage points will not be affected, this change and still give the team a copy of their team leader twice a week to kill, get twice the equipment, accelerate team growth. Wrath of the Lich King expansion pack, there are 10 people involved in the team with 25 copies of the players, should change the way this feels very familiar. And want to maintain the current schedule or delay the progress of replacement players, you can still use the team page in the "delayed the progress of the team" function for this purpose.
If you worry about forgetting to reset the progress of the new team a copy of the time, from October 27 onwards, the game calendar in your weekly progress will be displayed to reset the time.
We will be happy to hear your response to this change, I hope this change will be given to several members of the team and the Society a copy of the player more power.

wonder if its just cata raids...
Matchu Oct 25th 2011 10:53PM
" we will apply for the 4.0 and 4.2 copies " implies Cata raids only.
Seeanneb Oct 25th 2011 10:54PM
reading the article should help
tgrhwke Oct 25th 2011 10:56PM
The text says it only for the raids introduced in Cata, excluding the Dragon Soul raid.
Azurite Oct 25th 2011 11:02PM
According to the article, only 4.0 and 4.2 raids will be affected by these changes, so I'd say yes.

my comment was in b4 the clarification by Zarhym. my curiosity was founded in the odd translation given at the time. so yeah, i read the article. -_-

Numbers are hard.
Marius W. Oct 25th 2011 11:33PM
You mean this "for the 4.0 and 4.2" in the first line of the Taiwan translation?
Blazing Rain Oct 26th 2011 12:35AM
@Marius, if this goes live, something else will be hard.

I have no clue what this means....does it mean that all raids besides the Dragon Soul Raid will now have 2 resets per week. PLEASE DO THIS.

I love rough translations. They're like a looking glass into linguistics. On a related note, this is both seriously amazing and stressing news. And there will be complaints a-many for those hoping for 25/10m differential lock outs. A storm's a-brewin' on the forums..

That translation makes my brain hurt. ;.;

Imagine how much 2X the raiding in the same amount of time is going to make all those people's fingers feel.

"That translation makes my brain hurt. ;.;"
Ohhh! It will have to come out!
Knob Oct 25th 2011 10:52PM
I'm hoping something is lost in the translation. My guild is currently working in Rag hc and by going 6/7 on a Wednesday, we allow ourselves 3 raid days to work on him. If this goes live in all regions, it effectively removes an entire night of progress on him. Will the extra loot help? Maybe, but at this point it's not really the gear, but practice that we need.

Just extend raid lockout.
Skarn Oct 25th 2011 10:57PM
You can always just pretend this never happened and extend the instance Friday night.
xvkarbear Oct 25th 2011 11:00PM
Why not just extend the lockout? It would automatically reset on the next following reset day. (Tuesday)
tgrhwke Oct 25th 2011 11:03PM
"And want to maintain the current schedule or delay the progress of replacement players, you can still use the team page in the "delayed the progress of the team" function for this purpose."
I believe that line means that even tho it'll reset twice a week you can still use the raid lockout extension to keep it from resetting.

Why do I forget obvious solutions? Where's mah coffee?!
