Twice weekly resets seem like a logical step by Blizz. Once you're finished with your molten front dialies and having equipped everything you can buy with VP, raiding is all what's left to do.

Of course, it's only a temporary delight, since you're burning through the current end content even quicker...

The change is only for past tier content. The current tier will remain once weekly. You won't "burn through the current end content" any faster.
