Patch 4.3 PTR: Valor point gear gallery

If you've been wondering what the new patch 4.3 PTR update had in store for you, well, wonder no more. It had gear in store for you. Yes, there are titles and mounts as well, and that's all very nice. But if you, like me, have a black, shriveled gemstone for a heart that screams out its demoniacal lust for more and more and more gear, well, patch 4.3 has you covered.
What follows is a cavalcade of screenshots from the valor point vendors that are standing there right now on the patch 4.3 PTR, just waiting for you to come buy their wares. Which you can't do yet because they just reset valor points on the PTR ... but you know what I mean. Thrill to hats, relics, wands, boots, belts, chestpieces and other items. There are more items than I could get screenshots of, to be honest, so enjoy these 60 or so screenshots and let them whet your appetite for more.
Brace yourselves for what could be some of most exciting updates to the game recently with patch 4.3. Review the official patch notes, and then dig into what's ahead: new item storage options, cross-realm raiding, cosmetic armor skinning and your chance to battle the mighty Deathwing -- from astride his back!

- "the very best gear is only available by getting lucky."
There's very little luck involved. Either you put in the time and energy to gear your character, learn the boss fights and do the raid to kill the bosses . . . Or you don't.
People don't just randomly find Helm or Shoulder tokens laying on the ground in Orgrimmar or win them in raffles. Paragon doesn't recruit by sending out /ginvites to level 1's rolling out of Elwynn Forest. Vodka isnt the best guild in the US because H-Ragnaros got food poisoning one day and they happened to be there. Sure, there's some luck in which item drops for you and what you /roll, but luck doesn't make bosses fall over.
You put in the time and energy or you don't. You transfer to a better server or you stay on your empty one. You join a raiding guild or you stay with your social/leveling guild.
I earned my 384 ilvl. I earned the Legendary I'm building.

@Revyn: Oh, come off it.
There are plenty of people who play this game like a second job, forty hours a week, in a dedicated raiding guild, who *still* don't have their shoulders because they won't drop, or because the class they play got nerfed last patch and the raid leader tagged somebody else in (whether they were right to do so or not) or because they were forced to respec in order to fill in for the healer who's on maternity leave and they're therefore collecting pieces for the spec they don't play as often.
There is a *lot* of luck involved in gearing right now. You can clutch to your fantasy that the right pieces dropped for you because you're just that awesome at raiding, or because you work harder than anyone else, or because your penis is of breathtaking length and girth, but that doesn't make it true. There are raiders who work just as hard as you do who have less to show for it, and if Blizzard tries to throw them a bone people like you complain that the peons won't be able to applaud you as easily because you have to share the stage with others.
Get off my lawn! >:(

hmm BoE wrists and feet and helm...i like it so far. now how do they look?
shadowhowl1900 Oct 27th 2011 1:34PM
BoP helm...not to confuse any1

Do they folllow the same pricing as last tier? It seems to be the case from what I can see. The shoes cost 1650, wrists 1250, helms and chests 2200.
I'd expect hands and waist to be 1650, the relic/wands to be 900.
So tier pieces, necks, offhands, weapons, trinkets and rings drop from the raid? Or are some of those available on the PTR but didn't make the screenshot cut or my eye skipped over them?
PeeWee Oct 27th 2011 1:53PM
Meh stats... I wanted to see what they LOOK like. :(

I just finished going through my timesheets, and I've got two days of 'use it or lose it' vacation time between now and the New Year. I'm planning on taking those two days the moment I know when the patch is likely to hit.
It had better hit before the end of the year (mumbles darkly)
Nina Katarina Oct 27th 2011 2:08PM
Going from my previous question, is the weekly valor point cap still 1000?
If that's the case, and boots are 1650, wrists are 1250, we can expect to see the BoEs for sale on the AH early the second week after the patch hits.
Marshal Oct 27th 2011 2:19PM
I know this isn't The Queue but, can I save up a lot of VP for these? Don't need anything from the current vendors, and seeing as how VP is shown as a weekly maximum rather than a total maximum from its JP counterpart.
Animaneth Oct 27th 2011 2:34PM
Nop. When the patch arrives, your current VP's will be converted to JP, and you'll have 0 VP
Charron Oct 27th 2011 2:38PM
No, valor will reset like it has every raid patch. Use them on PvP gear or sell BoE bracers before you lose them.
Marshal Oct 27th 2011 2:55PM
Doh, how could I have forgotten that. Silly me. Thanks.
Welldead Oct 27th 2011 2:27PM
Omg, you're effin me right?! WTFFFFF :( -sigh, well, guess ill just level up my 60 paladin and transfer it to another server and just have fun with it i guess. -sigh x1k. and ty for letting me know before i was about to do something ridiculous. ty :)
xvkarbear Oct 27th 2011 2:37PM
The idea behind converting your VP to JP at the start of a new patch is two fold:
All gear that sold for valor points from the previous patch now sell for justice points. This allows you to pick up anything you didn't already have when you could of bought it for valor points. You can gear up much more quickly, as well.
Everyone starts at the same place at the beginning of a patch. Everyone is at zero and no one has any advantages over other people.
Welldead Oct 27th 2011 2:43PM
Ty^^ :)
Kolmar Oct 27th 2011 3:15PM
Right, where you earn raid gear by running... 5mans?
ScrubRogue Oct 27th 2011 3:30PM
These look so good for me (I'm wearing a 346 blue helm for pve) I might actually enter a 5 man now. Or maybe a raid or maybe even both!
Always so tempting to wear a 384 ruthless piece instead of my lowly gear but I find its better to wear 100s of iLvl greens over any pvp piece (socially not mathematically)
ganhuanjun Oct 27th 2011 3:34PM
Well, Blizzard hasn't officially released the DK tier 13 preview yet, but there is DK tier gear on the PTR. It doesn't look anything specially, just like a skeletal diablo. Any clues on if this is the finalized real deal?
matthias2479 Oct 27th 2011 4:02PM
I was kinda hoping to see trinkets again on the valor vendor. Hopefully there is some in the 5 mans
goldeneye Oct 27th 2011 4:34PM
I'm glad we got all this gear from valor. Just wish though, that we'd get some weapons out of it as well..
