SV is fine, it currently sims at something like 2K DPS below MM (right next to BM) so while it's not absolutley optimal, you're not gimping your raid by using it. It actually does really well on AoE fights like Beth, Rhyo or Maloriak. It needs a small buff to be truly competitive with MM (and is getting it), but it's no longer the "only use SV if your raid needs Replen or you cant soft-cap ArP yet" spec.

I actually raided as SV all the way through T11 and into T12, finally switching to MM for Concussive Barrage so we could get H-Beth down.
