Blizzard has released the Tier 13 set for Death Knights. Green flames, anyone? I'll take 'em.
The Death Knight set has been in development for a bit longer than the other sets. Blizzard's original artwork didn't pan out the way they wanted, so the set was sent back to the drawing board with the result shown above.

Looks like I'm the only guy that thinks the set looks pretty cool, I mean, it's no Rogue t13, but at least it isn't the squid face mcgee warlock

I'm on board with most others on the DK set, though. It's not bad, but not particularly spectacular either.

I'm in the "like" camp, too. The shoulders are pretty great, and those are really the only bit I'll notice that much - my helm's always hidden, and I'll only see the rest on the login.

Come on Blizzard, you already gave us Batman for the Rogue set, you couldn't have given us Darth Vader or Doctor Doom with the Death Knight set?
That way, the next time I Strangulate a Shadow Priest I could say "I find your lack of faith disturbing."

Guess I'm in the minority here, 'cause I like it. Of course, I've always preferred the more understated designs over the ridiculously over-the-top stuff that seems to be prevalent, like the shaman shoulders.

I can't complain too much. It's pretty close to what I expected it to be. But I guess I also had a bit of hype set up if it took them extra time to redesign the set to make it look better it would be amazing. It's not as epic as I would have liked though. The shoulders are nice but headgear this tier are kinda bad. Then again blizz seems to think dks need curvy horns on their heads as seen in the past pvp sets. I would say MAYBE a more ribcage-like chest but other than that and the horns, it's okay. Still gonna go back for 25hT10. At least until I see the recolors for T13.

Makes you wonder what the first set looked like...

So no comments from the Dev's saying "This is what inspired this tier...." and most if not all of the other classes got one.
I think Tier 8 and 11 (Ulduar and BOT) were the greatest DK tier sets - the Archerus "sets" were nice, but lacking because it was so damn common.

Wow, just...wow. The set isnt bad, but it doesn't say "Death Knight." Its says "Warrior." To be honest, i am really tired of the dk sets looking like warrior sets. And green flames? Really? A DK is NOT just a warlock in plate armor.
Remember what Arthas said at the VERY BEGINNING of the DK starter zone? "All that I am: anger, cruelty, vengeance - I bestow upon you, my chosen knight." What ever happened to that? Anger, cruelty, and vengeance, the three things that are the very essence of a Death Knight. This set doesn't convey any of those. Good thing I kept my blue Acherus set.

I like it, but not as a tier set. Honestly, it looks like it should be a pvp set.
I'd be curious to see the "not epic enough" original concept art they scrapped

I'm not feeling the green and purple in this set. Not only it is rather blah, but with the DK starter, and all that ice in Wrath, it should be blue. Blue flames shooting out of your head, out of your eyes, out of everything.

I like the bone shoulders. The helm looks good on it's own, but it doesn't seem to work well with the shoulders. I think if the horns were taken off the helm it might improve the look.
