I expected more due to the wait. I don't know about other DKs, but I feel like our best looking "tiers" were the starter gear and blues we left the zone with.

I really loved T8 and T10. But yeah, the starter sets are the best.

I think DK armor tends to suffer from the "samey-ness" effect, more so than other classes. They all kind of feel like warrior armor with skulls on it. :\
