New Dungeon Decks for the WoW TCG

Coming to a store near you this Nov. 15, Dungeon Decks will allow players of the WoW Trading Card Game to explore Shadowfang Keep, Scarlet Monastery, and The Deadmines and claim loot both in the form of loot cards and various items to use in the TCG as well.
You'll get to fight enemies like Lord Godfrey above, practicing his gun kata, or Scarlet Commander Mograine or even Vanessa VanCleef. Her father Edwin even makes an appearance, it seems. Check out the artwork gallery and read all about what's coming next month at the official WoWTCG site.

I am in absolute awe of that header image. That is all.

Seconded! Wow!

Kinda makes me wish he was on our side.
Cephas Oct 29th 2011 4:27PM
You know what, as a Horde player he actually was on our side for about five minutes until he killed Sylvanas, so I think we're actually better off not having him on our side.
Jamie Oct 29th 2011 4:42PM
I like him, you should have kept him around.
Alchemistmerlin Oct 29th 2011 4:44PM
Really? I feel like killing Sylvanas is the best thing anyone could ever do for the Horde.

Sylvanas is a fascinating character, that's why it would be a shame. Though I agree that it would be best for the Horde! Just not best for the game in general. ;)

Sylvanas was a fascinating character. Past tense. But when your whole story is built up around revenge and you get that revenge... you're not left with much of a character. So Blizzard decided to do the "turn into the thing you hated most" and she became (basically, not literally) the Lich Queen. She ignores the rest of the Horde and does her own thing now. How she's still a part of the Horde is a mystery. Garrosh wants to wage war with anything that moves, and probably even things that don't (like revenge on basic campfire for being a more popular warchief than he is). The Alliance has been mostly peaceful, yet Sylvanas is practically goading him into attacking.
Sylvanas just doesn't make sense anymore.

"Her father Edwin even makes an appearance, it seems."
As... a zombie?

Pretty sweet art across the board. Shame they don't give the option of larger prints.

That's awesome artwork. I may be tempted to finally buy some cards if they keep up that quality of artwork.

Vanessa VanCleef AND Whitemane?
I'll be in my bunk.
RetPallyJil Oct 29th 2011 5:20PM
Good that'll keep that tramp Sally away from my Mograine. What can I say? I like big blonde fellas!

That artwork! I do kinda wish Godfrey had become a proper Forsaken instead of a villain. I also kinda wish that he'd used his pistol attacks while grouped with you in Silverpine, instead of casting generic fire spells.
Philster043 Oct 29th 2011 7:18PM
He was probably still too disoriented from having just been raised to be using pistols at that point. What that says about using fire spells, I don't know.
Matthew Rossi Oct 29th 2011 7:25PM
He IS a proper Forsaken. HE, at least, didn't just turn from mindless thrall of the Lich King to mindless thrall of Sylvanas.
Suzaku Oct 29th 2011 10:03PM
There's been no official indications that those who follow Sylvanas are being controlled by her, at least not yet. The starting quests in Tirisfal Glades even show that some don't wish to return or don't with to join the Forsaken. What compels some of them to willingly join, well, that hasn't been explained, apart from the few random Forsaken in the starting area that are thankful for another opportunity to live.
And of course, when I say proper Forsaken, I mean "member of the Forsaken faction", not "free-willed undead." There are plenty of other free-willed undead, including the Knights of the Ebon Blade and some of the Scourge still lingering around.

hey, we follow her because she is pretty >:(
Matthew Rossi Oct 30th 2011 12:37AM
Actually, in the Silverpine quests, you take a Valkyr to the Fenris Isle base of the survivors from Southshore and use it to kill and raise the humans there as Forsaken. They go from "I'll never join you, monster" to "Hail the Dark Lady" in SECONDS. Pretty good indication that yes, at least some of the new Forsaken are being mind controlled.

Also, in the beta, I do believe there was a quest in Western Plaguelands to mind control rebellious Forsaken. It was removed, but it existed, so I think that that shows that Blizzard is just holding that card closer to their chest for now.
