I didn't see any of these three posts (mine included) as negative; the common theme seems to have been that introducing Pandaren into WoW does not mean slapstick silliness and Kung-Fu Panda must follow. There is the potential for serious depth in the setting. I think conversations articulating that depth are important right now, and that these are positive posts.
For me, it was a chance to revisit Lone Wolf and Cub, and AD&D's Oriental Adventures, and 1987, and relate them to MoP. A lot of WoW players didn't read LW&C, or play OA, so hopefully it shed some light on the upcoming expansion.
Serious doesn't equal negative.
