Speaking as a habitual soloer (when Cataclysm heroics were 30+ minutes of queue time for a DPS, I kept myself busy by soloing the BC heroics and had started doing Wrath heroics when 4.2 and the Molten Front hit), I have a few pieces of advice for soloing Death Knights:
-Don't get greedy; I know we've got some awesome AoE options, but it's easy to forget that the damage to each target decreases the more targets are affected. Even in level 50ish dungeons like BRD, getting impatient and pulling 20 mobs to AoE them down can take longer (or result in an embarrassing death) than simply taking each group one at a time.
-Invest in some run-speed boost consumables; many dungeons do not have a conveniently-located shortcut back to the entrance or an exit near the final boss, so be prepared to run all the way back to the entrance if your Hearth is on cooldown. Having something that can reduce the time necessary to backtrack will save you many headaches.
-Death Knights have a fun extra activity when soloing older content: experimenting with Dark Simulacrum http://www.wowhead.com/spell=77606 . Any time you see a mob with a mana bar, feel free to throw DS onto them and see what kind of spells you can copy. In particular, make sure to visit Ahn'kahet: The Old Kingdom up in Northrend; find an Ahn'kahar Spell Weaver, drag him near one of the bosses, and tag him with DS while he's charging up Shadow Blast http://www.wowhead.com/spell=59102 . Copy the spell, kill the Weaver, then turn to the nearest boss, launch the Shadow Blast and watch the fireworks.

Ooooh, I wonder how bad you can abuse that ability.
Does DS reset if you leave an area, like for a summon? Cause I know some higher end bosses that I'd love to smack with that.

Copied spells only last for about 15 seconds, so you'd have to steal the spell, get summoned, then immediately use it or lose it.
And note that the wording of the spell is off; it's 80% of the caster's HP, not the target's. Meaning that if you have 200k HP and cast Shadow Blast, it'll deal 160k damage; enough to 1-shot most Wrath heroic bosses, but only a meager percentage of a raid boss' HP. Still, it's worth trying out, if only to get a strong start in the pull.
