As a master of many classes, I can assure you that hunters outperform DKs on legacy content. For example, you almost have no chance of soloing Rag in MC with a DK, but this can be done with a hunter without breaking a sweat.

Pretty sure you can solo MC Rag with a DK... especially since I have done it a few times.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l99GXeU8PGgThat's a level 80 Death Knight soloing Rag, during Patch 4.0.3a (post-Revamp, pre-Cata release).

i soloed Rag and killed him in less than 5 min on my first attempt with my DK, plus eye of sulfuras dropped too, too bad i have no desire to make it. i dont know how hunter/pet tanking works but i know with my DK i unleash hell. all you need is DPS PvP gear and you'll cruise by. i didnt watch the video but there is a spot where when you get knocked back you land in lava so you get no dmg from falling. plus i know some DKs glyph frost path and mitigate some of the fall dmg that way

I've soloed rag on my priest, both as shadow and disc. And im a lousy priest...

My record kill time for MC Ragnaros is 6 seconds flat. Done as frost in reg T12 gear. It's easy.

Right. Master of many classes. Judging by your assertion and the responses, DK isn't one of those classes?

I soloed Rag on my DK at 83. By "no chance" you must mean "it's not all that hard".

unholy dk here, solo'ed rag at 80. at 85 takes the best part of about 15-25 seconds.
