Don't wanna be that got, but someone's gotta. Stamina has no affect on the healing done by death strike, healing is affected by the damage you take, so you don't stack stamina, it doesn't do anything

Actually the heal is either 20% of the damage you got in last 5s or 7% of your max health, whichever is higher ( http://www.wowhead.com/spell=49998 ). So if you have let's say 150k hp, you'd have to get some 52.5k dmg in last 5s for the damage taken to have greater effect than your max health. That's why dks want to stack stamina and mastery equally (and because lots of people don't know about that like you, it is often frowned upon...)
