8) How will we know the difference of alliance panda and horde panda in pvp? It will be the one kicking my ass :P Wait, no that will be every enemy.

The Alliance pandas will be waving white flags.I kid, I kid.

The common answer is "lol red = dead", but that doesn't really work out when your screen is full of red names. It's a lot easier to find a healer by clicking the giant Tauren waving his hands in the air. Also, names don't display beyond a certain number of yards. Silhouettes are great for snap decisions when you're trying to figure out where you should head next in a BG.

The Horde Pandas will leave walk-over after alcohol-poisoning by trying to drink the orcish beer. Meanwhile Alliance Pandaren and Dwarves are busily perfecting (and trading!) their recipes. Maybe while walking along the beach, who knows?

Druids in shapeshift form all look similar, especially in the heat of battle, and not many ppl had an issue with them. The only real exception is troll bear/cat. They're obvious. And this wad especially true with permanent tree form. It never was a problem and it wont be for pandas.

It never was a problem? I'm pretty sure you're not a spokesman for the entire PVP community.Cat Druids have always been annoying for me (although you can still tell the difference), Bears less so simply because they're nearly non-existent outside of fighting NPCs. It's hard to say Trees were an issue when so much of the PVP community focused on Arenas for BC and WotLK, which never has masses of players to deal with, or long distances. But hey, thanks for the simplistic response.

It still bothers me that so many people are willing to give up so much immersion for a game of "kill red names".

I'm not sure I follow how it's more immersive for an ideological difference to warp the appearance of a given race so much that you can tell the two predominant factions apart from a glance. You know what would be immersive? Pandarens all look the same, and no-one in pvp has a nameplate at all. Pandarens would always be a wild card. And the mind boggles at the possibilities of that, as impossible as it would be to achieve.

GrandOldDuke, you think it's more immersive to have a race that's so cool and laid back with each other that they're okay with stabbing each other in the face? That is rather mind-boggling.This is what killed me about Chris Metzen's defense of the idea. It would make sense if PVP was nothing more than combat exercises, but it's not. They're killing each other, as in "to the death". And the Pandaren are chillax about it?"Sorry about the gushing artery, dude.""No man, it's cool. I was wondering what death was like earlier this morning. What a coincidence, right bro?""Hey man, thanks for being cool about this. Almost killed my jive."

"GrandOldDuke, you think it's more immersive to have a race that's so cool and laid back with each other that they're okay with stabbing each other in the face?"Wow what a foreign idea, its like humans in real life or something. I do agree though that Metzen's explanation is reaching. But what else is new in lore?
