People are getting the math somewhat wrong. It's a better deal than the popular assumption.A year of WoW = 12x$13=$156 NOT 12x$15 = $180. If you're hooking up for a year it makes sense to go for 6 month installments then 3 then 1 if you really can't afford it upfront for some reason. Therefore $156-60=$96/15 (rate you'll likely use for on and off subs) = 6.4 months. Therefore you 'break even' on the deal at 6.4 months of playing wow. Anything above that is 'profit' for you. This is the worst case scenario because 1) you get a free pony which may be worth something to you 2) you get free beta which may be worth something to you 3) You get to play wow whenever you want to on and off without having to adjust to monthly timetables - this may also be worth something to you.Factoring in the 'invisible extra worth' I'd guess that if you plan to play at least 4-6.4 months of WoW out of the next 12 then this deal is good for you.Wii all this said, that is still A LOT of time to commit to 1 game and is something I'm currently debating on. So far, I have played a total of 11months since release - and during my sub times I played ridiculously unhealthy amounts of 3-12hours a day easily. So the less access I hate to this game the probably better but at the same time I do enjoy the game and without the time limitations I'd probably play it a lot more casually and reasonably. Hard to not play when you know that in X time your access is over that you already paid for.
