WoW Insider Live Stream: Well of Eternity, take two
The PTR boss totally won the last time we tried to stream Well of Eternity, the newest dungeon on the patch 4.3 PTR servers. Well, we certainly aren't going to take that for an answer, so we're back with another shot. Watch and chat along with WoW Insider staff members as we try to nab ourselves the Dragon Soul and avoid that pesky disconnect boss in the process. Round two ... fight!
Join the chat after the jump!
Update: Stream's over, thanks for watching!

Man I hope they've nerfed the Azshara encounter since the last time I was on the PTR. It was OH GOD IT HURTS MAKE IT STOP then.

"Do you know how to play a mage?"
"Uh, fireball?"

Oh dear...I was looking forward to these dungeons. Now? Not so much. :(
I want fun easy ones...not like they seem to be now. I won't ever be able to do them. ;_;

Same here. I was thinking, man, maybe I'll have a chance to actually *do* something this expansion.
Nope.

It was only a couple bosses that were a pain in the butt. Notably Azshara and Murozond.
And we were all scaled down to 353 gear for these dungeons. If you're using the dungeon finder, your chances of getting 5 players all with pure 353 gear is very slim. You're likely to get at least one or two players that do some raiding with higher ilevel gear and they'll make all the difference in the world when it comes to DPS races.

I only go with my guild and we do not raid...so yeah. No one has better than 353.
I am not comfortable with Pugs...because I am not a raider or the best person for getting out of stuff or learning mechanics quickly. It takes me a long time to remember to do x here or interrupt y. I don't like getting yelled at...and people seem almost universally mean to me when I have tried the whole random thing.
*sigh*
Well...maybe MoP will have stuff I can do.

Ravyncat: If you don't learn mechanics too quickly, how about taking a few runs on the PTR yourself (that is, if you aren't already)? Then you'll be ahead of the curve, and can teach your guildmates!
...don't tell my guildies I said that, though, I like them thinking I'm just a really good player. >.>

I don't raid and have an equipped ilvl of 359. That's with one piece of valor gear, and 359 non-tier shoulders from BoT. The rest is either justice, molten front, or dungeon gear. I still have a few 353 items that could be replaced with molten front items if I were to go back there and 353 maces. So you can have higher than a 353 ilvl when 4.3 launches without raiding. Alex says that only a few fights were insane so you should be able to grab a few 378 pieces even if they stay this difficult and your groups don't have gear (not likely). http://us.battle.net/wow/en/character/silver-hand/Yanseb/simple (you can get a decent example from this hopefully)

I might try the PTR. I don't mean to sound so disappointed...it is just that I am.
I watched the earlier versions of these dungeons and they looked so fast and fun that I got excited and hopeful for them. They reminded me of the Wrath dungeons which was the last time I actually had fun in a dungeon. I have pretty much hated all of them this expansion.
My problem with the PTR is my computer is so slow and laggy that a lot of the time I get about 2 fps there. This also sometimes happens in live WoW--which contributes to standing in bad stuff for me. Fire (or any highly animated thing, but mainly flames) turns my WoW to stop motion--which is why I do not raid. By the time I can actually see it with all the lag, I am dead.
