Post-BlizzCon 2011 Store sale starts Nov. 11

BlizzCon 2011 ... remember that?
It was that time when Fogs of Black and White Bears was announced, or something like that. There was also this meetup where a bunch of people got together and drank and hung out while talking about WoW at the Anabella. That was cool.
What is also cool (in the way of cold, hard retail steel shelves)? The BlizzCon 2011 Store! And now, you'll get an opportunity to order from it again starting at 10 a.m. PST on Friday, Nov. 11, ending at 10 a.m. PST on Friday, Nov. 18.
To order from the BlizzCon Store, you must have purchased a DirecTV ticket, been subscribed to the live stream, or be the purchasing Battle.net account for actual BlizzCon tickets. The full blue post below details the sales.
Miss out on picking up that special piece of commemorative BlizzCon loot? Beginning Friday, November 11 (rescheduled from the originally announced date of November 4), we're making select items from the BlizzCon 2011 store available once more to those who joined us for the show in person or via the BlizzCon Virtual Ticket.

I dont really understand the point of restricting the sales. If the intention is to encourage the sales of con tickets or the virtual ticket, yea ok but beyond that I just dont get it.

What sort of things can you buy in this sale? I can't get on to the blizzard site from this computer, and the blue post and your article are both pretty vague about what exactly a 'Blizzcon loot' is.

November 11th is not a good day to hold a sale. People should be pausing to remember all those that sacrificed their lives for our freedoms.

As an 11 year US Navy veteran, I'm 100% ok with people taking 15 minutes to buy a Blizzcon poster on Nov 11th. The point is to have peole take a period of time to reflect, not for them to devote every waking moment to reflection. Even then, I proudly fought to defend their right to take no time to reflect at all, should they so choose.

Good point, but the sale does go on until the 18th. And how many retail stores do Veteran's Day sales as it is? It is sad that our most somber holidays should be big retail sales days.

@ Orlo
Well put. As a veteran myself I fully agree with you. Freedom means just that, freedom. We shouldn't make people feel as though they MUST feel a certain way, or participate in particular activities. Don't want to fly a flag? Then don't. That's what differentiates free and democratic countries from those that aren't. I don't care if my sacrifices are acknowledged. It just makes me happy that we have the right to choose, and that in my own small way I helped to ensure those rights continue to exist.

Veteran's Day is a day to celebrate the living vets. It shouldn't be bad to buy things on that day.
Memorial Day is for the dead.
I'd agree more (but still disagree) if it were on Memorial Day. Life goes on. ... . even on 9/11 . . . life is for the living. Can not give up life to commemorate death. It's disrespectful to those who died.
Thank you Veterans!

I'm in Canada. We don't have a memorial day or a veteran's day. We have Remembrance Day, on November 11th. It is the day when we pause for two minutes at the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month and remember all those who sacrificed their lives for our freedoms, and we honour all those who served their country and who continue to serve.
So here, yes, it is a day of remembrance of all those who made the ultimate sacrifice.

Anyone know if this will be open to EU customers also?
Sintraedrien Nov 3rd 2011 9:58AM
I hope it will be the stuff I tried to buy there but couldn't- due to "sold-out" nonsense.
Grrrrrr.

Will the Tyrael swag statue be on there? If not I could care less, nothing in the store interested me the first time around before BlizzCon.

Sounds like they have a lot of leftovers to get rid of. There was a post earlier on WoW Insider that showed photos of what was sold but the mobile version of the site doesn't seem to work when clicking on the article tags.
Highlights:
- world of warcraft poker set
- Mega Blocs Starcraft 2 Battlecruiser
- Doomhammer LARP edition (epic weapons is also selling this on their site)
- 3 poster set of the Karazhan opera house (they have an old 1940s classical look to them)
- Diablo nightlight (pretty cool in the dark!)
Otherwise the usual posters, t-shirts, magnets, and stuff from previous years.
Matthew Nov 3rd 2011 5:08PM
The Doomhammer Larp edition was mega cool but too expensive at 115 bucks!

I'm very happy that they're doing this - I missed out on the presale, so now Blizzard gets another chance to take my money! Huzzah!

Technically, pandas are more closely related to raccoons than bears. Just FYI.
Yeechang Lee Nov 4th 2011 1:54AM
Not true. Black-and-white pandas are true bears.
