Well put. As a veteran myself I fully agree with you. Freedom means just that, freedom. We shouldn't make people feel as though they MUST feel a certain way, or participate in particular activities. Don't want to fly a flag? Then don't. That's what differentiates free and democratic countries from those that aren't. I don't care if my sacrifices are acknowledged. It just makes me happy that we have the right to choose, and that in my own small way I helped to ensure those rights continue to exist.
