The Queue: Is Jaina going to keep the peace?

Let's just get down to business today, where I get to present my own tinfoil hat look at lore.
Yous95 asked:
With the incoming destruction of Theramore by the Horde, can we no longer expect Jaina to remain the honest peace broker that she has been thus far?
My feeling is that Jaina is going to realize that the current Horde are not the ones she has supported in the past and that it's time for some heavy-handed diplomacy. Of course, there's no telling what Blizzard might do. Maybe Jaina will end up a prisoner of war ... Think about how much that would push the storyline through in MoP, especially if Thrall comes back and openly opposes Garrosh over her imprisonment.
Aftermathmatical asked:
So I know we dont get Tauren rogues, they are just too big and heavy to sneak around in the shadows unseen and since there is no other race that big-
Wait. Big. Fat. Rogue. Pandas. What??
The Pandarens might be big and fat, but they are stealthy and quiet. That's a much more important quality than the size of their stomach. Remember, it's what's on the inside that counts.
The more you know.
David asked:
Do you think, with MoP, we'll see the towns/cities ruined by Deathwing restored? For instance, Booty Bay, Menethil Harbor, the park of Stormwind, etc. I know it didn't make sense to devote dev hours to incrementally fixing all this while Cataclysm was in progress, but in the virtual world of Warcraft, we do see repairs taking place.
Blizzard said a while ago that it's looking at eventually fixing up the damage caused by Deathwing. And yes, I wouldn't be surprised to see some progress happen in Azeroth in patch 5.0 (we already know this will be the "content" patch, as we've seen in previous expansions). I also think if it happens, we're going to see a selected distribution of resources, particularly on the Alliance side. There's only so much lumber to go around, after all.
That being said, we have seen no official work yet on this.
OUFanInKansas asked:
So, what is your pick for the new feature in the Mists of Pandaria trailer most likely to get cut (like Path of the Titans got axed from Cataclysm) prior to release?
Nothing. There really isn't a grab bag of features here, and there's not any one thing Blizzard could really cut. Each feature is clearly part of an overall long term strategy. For instance, Challenge Modes look to be the new hardcore I'm better than you thing; Pet Battles are the answer to Why have non-combat pets? Everything fits and creates a great holistic system, and I just don't see any avenue for cuts.

Is it just me or was the wind was taken out of Patch 4.3's sails with the announcement of Pandaria?
With the exception of Transmogrification nobody seems to care about the upcoming content patch at all. Even The Queue questions have little if anything to do with 4.3. I was excited for the new raid finder, void storage, and mortal strike buff (with apologies to PvP Healers). Now I'm feeling kind of "Meh." about the whole thing.
Am I alone and burnt out, or are other players feeling the same way as Cataclysm ages?

Have you seen the two Deathwing fights? The fact that this will be available through the new LFR is incredibly exciting for me.
Wellsee Nov 3rd 2011 11:13AM
I am REALLY looking forward to the LFR thing. I've never done 25 person raiding.

The timing of the Mists announcement was unfortunate, but pretty much unavoidable. They couldn't have released 4.3 before Blizzcon, and they couldn't wait a whole year to announce Mists at the next Blizzcon.
As for excitement: Mogging, Dragon Soul, new non-troll heroics, usable keybindings for my mactop, T13, and the Raid Finder..... I'm pretty excited.

No new features have been announced for 4.3, and everything has been covered to death. There's a new nugget here and there, but it looks like they are just finishing tuning the bosses and the 5 mans at this point.
4.3 is the culmination of the Cataclysm story. I hope it resolves things, especially after reading the Thrall book. I think I'm a little more hyped for the pre-expansion 5.0 patch though, especially being an Alliance member. The attack on Theramore and the ascension of Varian as the "king the alliance needs" sounds like a good setup for the conflict Metzen focused on at Blizzcon.
I guess the only question that could be asked about 4.3 is When??? After Thanksgiving is my call.
RGSmith Nov 3rd 2011 11:21AM
I felt the same way. Mop seems so awesome all I want is to play. I know when 4.3 drops though it will be occupying a ton of time. Faster dungeons and LFR sounds amazing.

Have you forgotten Rogue Legendaries?!
I'm excited for the patch!
Charron Nov 3rd 2011 11:28AM
Meant to say no new features announced recently, so nothing to really ask about that hasn't been asked already.
I'm sure at 4.3 launch, the Queue will be inundadted with "Why can't I transmog using X legendary," "where can I buy tier gear with valor," and questioins on LFR.

"No new features have been announced for 4.3, and everything has been covered to death. There's a new nugget here and there, but it looks like they are just finishing tuning the bosses and the 5 mans at this point."
How come everyone's forgotten that we still haven't gotten any hands-on time with Darkmoon Island? :(
Krz Nov 3rd 2011 11:42AM
Hell no son!
I am extremely anxious and excited about the imminent release of 4.3... New dungeons... never having to do a full-length troll run again... being able to raid on all my alts without having to herd 9 or 24 cats that are my guildies... new gear, new storyline, and new RAID!!! Probably a new PvP Season... Transmogrification - changing how all my toons look, Void Storage, OH GOD THIS PATCH IS GOING TO BE AMAZING!
Grovinofdarkhour Nov 3rd 2011 11:47AM
Haven't you heard? PANDAZ!!!!!!!!!!!
(Apparently we're still supposed to TRY to kill some dragon first, but... idk... whatever.)
PANDAZ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Andy Nov 3rd 2011 11:48AM
Personally, I'm just looking forward to not having to kill Jindo and/or Dakaara 7 times a week. BRING ON THE NEW 5 MANS!
Zura Nov 3rd 2011 11:52AM
Nothing in MoP is as exciting as raid finder. I love raiding but my schedule does not allow for regular raid times and my server ( anvilmar horde) is dead with no pug community. The success or failure of raid finder will likely determine whether I stick with game or not. And no, I don't want to pay for server transfer.
Charron Nov 3rd 2011 12:04PM
(cutaia): good call, that's the only other announced feature that hasn't been tested on the PTR yet. I could see the Darkmoon Faire become centralized around the pet battle system as well. Wandering Masters, anyone?
4.3 is going to be hype, and I can't wait to tank and spank Deathwing! 5.0 though gives me chills thinkibg about how they push the conflict forward.
Neothanos Nov 3rd 2011 12:56PM
Blizzcon had one big theme "How to keep players"
Caz Nov 3rd 2011 1:14PM
Darkmoon Faire!
Three new dungeons!
These will keep me busy for a long time.
Duts Nov 3rd 2011 1:37PM
Lt. Horatio Cain speculates that, "When MoP drops, it will be complete....."
/sunglasses
"Pandamonium"
YEAAAAHHHHHHH!!! WON'T GET FOOLED AGAIN!!!
Andrew Nov 3rd 2011 2:17PM
Yes, it's like the whole world (of Warcraft) has forgotten about patch 4.3. I think with the announcement of MoP, we can all breathe a collective sigh of relief that our long (inter)national nightmare known as Cataclysm is almost over. That's how bad Cataclysm was--Blizzard said, "Panda monks!" and the fanbase said, "Hooray!"
Having said that, I can't WAIT to kill Jaina...and I'm Alliance. I'm looking forward to it like an early Christmas.
llcjay2003 Nov 3rd 2011 2:37PM
@Andy: You nailed it there. Now that the launch heroics will award the same amount of VP in 4.3, it will cut way down on the monotony. Not to mention new heroics as well. I can't believe I am saying this, but I kind of miss the other heroics...except for Vortex Pinnacle. Screw those windbags. (Seewutididthar?)
Hob Nov 3rd 2011 4:56PM
A lot of the content in 4.3 doesn't apply to my play style. I don't raid, and I don't do Heroics. Since the new dungeons are only available as Heroics, it's basically content I won't bother with.
I am hoping to get enough honor / justice points together to buy some T12 and other gear for my warlock, and I am looking forward to tmogging my heirlooms. Darkmoon Faire Island sounds fun but I have this sneaking suspicion that I'm getting burned out and hitting the wall.
Pandaria sounds like everything I've wanted in an expansion (except for the new resource systems for warlocks), but I'm feeling more and more anxious than anything else. Like, Cataclysm was such a huge disappointment for me, I don't want to get hit with an even worse package.
I'm really hoping that 4.3 surprises me with its awesomeness, and that 5.0 hails a new era of... ummm... additional awesomeness.
