The Queue: Is Jaina going to keep the peace?

Let's just get down to business today, where I get to present my own tinfoil hat look at lore.
Yous95 asked:
With the incoming destruction of Theramore by the Horde, can we no longer expect Jaina to remain the honest peace broker that she has been thus far?
My feeling is that Jaina is going to realize that the current Horde are not the ones she has supported in the past and that it's time for some heavy-handed diplomacy. Of course, there's no telling what Blizzard might do. Maybe Jaina will end up a prisoner of war ... Think about how much that would push the storyline through in MoP, especially if Thrall comes back and openly opposes Garrosh over her imprisonment.
Aftermathmatical asked:
So I know we dont get Tauren rogues, they are just too big and heavy to sneak around in the shadows unseen and since there is no other race that big-
Wait. Big. Fat. Rogue. Pandas. What??
The Pandarens might be big and fat, but they are stealthy and quiet. That's a much more important quality than the size of their stomach. Remember, it's what's on the inside that counts.
The more you know.
David asked:
Do you think, with MoP, we'll see the towns/cities ruined by Deathwing restored? For instance, Booty Bay, Menethil Harbor, the park of Stormwind, etc. I know it didn't make sense to devote dev hours to incrementally fixing all this while Cataclysm was in progress, but in the virtual world of Warcraft, we do see repairs taking place.
Blizzard said a while ago that it's looking at eventually fixing up the damage caused by Deathwing. And yes, I wouldn't be surprised to see some progress happen in Azeroth in patch 5.0 (we already know this will be the "content" patch, as we've seen in previous expansions). I also think if it happens, we're going to see a selected distribution of resources, particularly on the Alliance side. There's only so much lumber to go around, after all.
That being said, we have seen no official work yet on this.
OUFanInKansas asked:
So, what is your pick for the new feature in the Mists of Pandaria trailer most likely to get cut (like Path of the Titans got axed from Cataclysm) prior to release?
Nothing. There really isn't a grab bag of features here, and there's not any one thing Blizzard could really cut. Each feature is clearly part of an overall long term strategy. For instance, Challenge Modes look to be the new hardcore I'm better than you thing; Pet Battles are the answer to Why have non-combat pets? Everything fits and creates a great holistic system, and I just don't see any avenue for cuts.

"No new features have been announced for 4.3, and everything has been covered to death."
^ This. I'm already sick of patch 4.3, and it isn't even out yet. I think the new content will be a lot of fun, but I'd rather not hear any more about it until it actually comes out.
Fraket Nov 3rd 2011 6:42PM
@Charron: I would put my money on 4.3 dropping on Tuesday, Dec. 20th. It's not like anything else will be happening that day *cough*swtor*cough*.

Please, please, please rebuild the Park as a Gilnean district.
Gossamer Nov 3rd 2011 11:12AM
What, you don't like the big hole in the city? /sarcasm
Thereone Nov 3rd 2011 11:13AM
"I love the new park in Stormwind! Trees everywhere!"
WAT.
Kadzeroth Nov 3rd 2011 11:25AM
I agree with this, but it will take copious amounts of PFM to do. I mean, the land itself is gone.
loop_not_defined Nov 3rd 2011 11:29AM
Hah! PFM solves everything. "How'd you get the annunciator lights to work again?" "I reset the PFM modulator."
The Dewd Nov 3rd 2011 11:39AM
I'm sure Celestine of the Harvest would like to be able to, you know, live within the city itself instead of being stuck in a shack out back behind the Dwarven District.
My only fear is that Wrynn will hire the ex-Defias to rebuild the park district and they'll get a good deal on landfill materials made up of Deathwing's corrupted corpse and chunks of saronite. Then the Night Elves will rebuild the moonwell and who knows what's going to come out of that. You could probably take mooncloth and turn it into felcloth.
(That last bit's just a little joke for all the oldtimers.)

Stormwind should have a fundraiser:

SW can always get more building materials by taking apart the Lakeshire bridge...
Murdertime Nov 3rd 2011 3:19PM
On reflection, the Defias thing does explain why everything in Stormwind takes so long to build.
You've spent years murdering all the skilled Stonemasons.
Now you've got the guys who weren't good enough to get in the guild, some dwarf scabs and man who is really, really into statues of Varian building everything.
Arrohon Nov 3rd 2011 3:26PM
As much as I agree that it'd be awesome, isn't the destruction near the Park Crater kinda needed for the pre-Twilight Highlands questchain?
Al Nov 3rd 2011 4:00PM
Unless they scrap the 24/Flintlocke references and finally put in that Naval Battle we were supposed to get... but that would mean Alliance wins a fight, so don't hold your breathe.
Noyou Nov 3rd 2011 9:16PM
I remember reading something to the effect that the Worgen would have their own section in Sw. This never happened. So maybe they can rebuild the part as Loop suggested and make it a dog park. It would be a howling good time :p /ducks.

Do you think Rexxar would agree with the current direction of the horde? Do you think he would still come to support the horde, even without thrall leading it? And, what ever happened to Ro'khan?
Shinae Nov 3rd 2011 11:27AM
If Rexxar had reservations about the Horde before (and he did), he's certainly not going to want to go anywhere near them now.
Haven't you noticed Rokhan in Dragonblight? He's been there since Wrath launched.

thedoctor2031 Nov 3rd 2011 12:35PM
Ah, thank you. Never played horde side through dragonblight so I missed him. I really wish they had made him more important. Oh, and with the introduction of Mists of Pandaria, do you think we will see our beloved Chen Stormsnout?
Shinae Nov 3rd 2011 1:28PM
Sure will!

Tauren and draenei have hooves. Kind if hard to sneak around going CLOPCLOPCLOPCLOP
The Dewd Nov 3rd 2011 11:21AM
Yes but... imagine a roundhouse to the face with a hoof. Chuck Norris would be proud. (Unless, of course, he too is actually Matt Krotzer.)
