If the game scaled in a linear way than your assertion would be correct, the squish in that case is simply lowering the slope of the line. But as you can see from the graph and the text the game is scaling in a exponential way. by changing the exponent you decrease the relative distance between any two points on the curve.
If you did the squish today. you would notice no difference in FL in your current gear BUT if you decided to go solo kara for that T5 you have been wanting you would get crushed. currently you are MUCH MUCH more powerful than Attumen. After the squish Attumen would be a little less powerful and you would be MUCH MUCH less powerful. The higher level the mob/player, the greater the "nerf" would be. Hogger will lose .0001% health but Ranoros(FL) will lose 60% health.
