Around Azeroth: Rainy day Orcs 12 & 35
Submitter Erakuu of alea iacta est gravitas on Earthen Ring (US-H) calls this a mood piece. Would that mood perhaps be depressed? Erakuu and his boar look like they've had a long day of boring dailies, irritating raid leaders and unsuccessful auctions. And now, when they're just getting done with fishing and are preparing to walk to the bar and get a couple of beers, it's started to rain. Poor Orc! Have some chocolate.

Am I wrong in saying that is a picture from Vanilla WoW?
Arbolamante Nov 5th 2011 1:54PM
It's the river below Karazhan, I believe, which was physically in vanilla, though the raid didn't open until BC.
Shinae Nov 5th 2011 2:44PM
I could very well be a screenie from vanilla. The water has the old graphic effect, and the gear is cerainly sub-60 greens.
However, it could also be someone who is leveling now with the graphics turned down to exclude the new water effect, like how I do when I'm playing on a friend's crappy computer.

Wow! so exciting to have a submission accepted!
The locale is in fact near Karazhan. It's Lich King era for my orc here, so, yeah, no fancy water graphics. The gear, particularly the mail "helm," is just a piece that my hunter has always enjoyed wearing. I'm sure there's some post-60 gear there somewhere.
And, no, he wasn't depressed. Just a bit dismal. :P

I think, seeing all the latin guild names out there, I want to name one "Quidquid latine dictum sit, altum sonatur."
pompeyjon Nov 5th 2011 10:54AM
I would offer, "Quidquid latine dictum sit, amet quam."
mem0ryburn Nov 5th 2011 11:40AM
"Quidquid latine dictum sit, altum videtur" would be the more accepted variant but I don't think that "quidquid latine dictum sit, altum sonatur" would be wrong to say.
Hob Nov 5th 2011 12:46PM
For those who don't read Latin, "Quidquid latine dictum sit, amet quam" literally translates as:
"People called Romanes they go the house."
Al Nov 5th 2011 1:25PM
Now, write it out a hundred times.
mem0ryburn Nov 5th 2011 1:29PM
For those who don't read troll "People called Romanes they go the house" literally translates as "maybe you should just look it up for yourself."
Andrew Nov 5th 2011 1:34PM
I'd prefer a guild called .
Andrew Nov 5th 2011 1:34PM
Dammit brackets!
I'd prefer a guild called "Lorem Ipsum."
Hob Nov 5th 2011 3:19PM
Wow. Quote Monty Python, get called a troll.
Good times.
mem0ryburn Nov 5th 2011 3:23PM
Wow. Sorry. Didn't get the reference at all.
Bad nerd :/

Can anyone get a better translation for the submitter's guild name than I? The best I can do is 'The die is heavily cast' or 'The heavy die is cast', or 'the die is seriously cast', but none of those make much sense.
mem0ryburn Nov 5th 2011 9:46PM
Something along the lines of "to play with chance is grave"
mem0ryburn Nov 5th 2011 11:19AM
Well, they’ll stone you when you walk all alone
They’ll stone you when you are walking home
They’ll stone you and then say you are brave
They’ll stone you when you are set down in your grave
But I would not feel so all alone
Everybody must get stoned
