Around Azeroth: A drop in the ocean, a change in the weather
More fun with Deathwing! "After getting roasted three times by this tool, my shaman Duane learned to take the high ground when the sky turned red," writes submitter Robert. "Upon reaching a safe elevation, the natural thing was to give chase on his trusty rocket. Deathwing's colossal size and nine million health did not intimidate Duane. He is Draenei and his armor is made of space-age polymers."

+1 for a shaman named Duane. -1,000,000 for those depressing sad dog banner ads I keep getting for the ASPCA on this site. "In the aaarms of an angel...." /cries.

"and his armor is made of space-age polymers"
Pff, I want what he has, my "space-age polymers" melt in the microwave. :'(

Yeah... a draenei flying a rocket doesn't sound like the safest thing. I'd be getting out of the way if I were deathwing, too.
devilsei Nov 9th 2011 10:49AM
The most a draenei on a rocket would do is crash somewhere, somewhat alter the environment due to the foreign material getting out into the wild, and possibly reveal everyone's god as a giant floating glowy symbol key.
NOW if that was a Goblin? I'd be scared, and Deathwing should be to. Thank god the Goblins weren't the ones who made and/or piloted the Exodar, otherwise Deathwing's Cataclysm would of looked like the "Shakening" compared to that disaster.

I have yet to see that r@t-b@stard.

Ah, the joys of the RNG. My son is extremely annoyed not to have gotten the achievement on any of his characters. My currently leveling alt, on the other hand, got the achievement weeks ago in Burning Steppes, and then had the pleasure of getting torched on consecutive days last week in Uldum. Really slows the questing process.

I saw the flames when I was flying over Winterspring, wharrgarbled all over my keyboard, and took flight form and flew into said flames the instant I landed in Everlook. So I've got the achievement, but...I haven't actually *seen* said rat-b@stard.
Still, it was better than the first time, when I was on a taxi flying over Stonetalon and saw the flames but couldn't get off the taxi to get to them. Aaaaaahhhhhh. ;_;
I hope you get flamebroiled by Deathwing soon!

Woot! My pic got picked. I've actually chased DW I couple more times since I took this screenshot but can never quite catch him. I'll get him one of these days, though, and slay him in the name of the Light. I guess they'd have to cancel the Dragon Soul raid then. My apologies in advance.
devilsei Nov 9th 2011 7:56PM
If anything, I'm sure your short-lived victory over Deathwing would be nothing more than a setback for him.
Bobby Earl Nov 9th 2011 8:52PM
It would be worth it just to hear him bellow at raiders, "Duane was merely a setback!".

My mage did not need a bigger boat. XD
