Choose My Adventure: Au revoir, adventurers

You may still see us at the monthly events on Zangarmarsh (US-PVE-H) with It came from the Blog. And Roblinator will continue her adventures (without your being able to choose them) with the usual suspects on a regular basis.
Before we go, Haemon has something to say after the break.
Joe Perez as Haemon
So, der I be, mon, at da crossroads. No, I mean really at da Crossroads. Ol' Haemon, he go where da work is, and da people of Crossroads be lookin' for help, mon. Makin me way to da Crossroads was da easy part. Da loa of da cat done grace me with new power, mon. I can now transform meself into da mighty and fast cheetah! Oh, I be so quick, mon! Dat be real freedom, I tell ya. Da wind in your fur and da open plain.
Now, ol Haemon be expecting more pig men harassin da people. I done be surprised at what me eyes be seeing dis time, mon. Pony men! Dey be everywhere, mon. Now, dese be no party ponies, but dey be da evil ponies. Stealing, killin and summonin' da lightning. Nah, dese bad pony people donn be belivin' in da magic of friendship. Ol Haemon get a bit in over his head -- dere be too many pony men! So, I use me favor and call in da calvary. I send for da Zarema for some help, mon, and sho'nuff she be comin' to ol Haemon's aid. We take down the pony men -- we cut off the leaders, mon. Da ponies, dey scatter, mon.
We did good, I feel. Da pony men scatter -- dey be without a leader -- and ol' Haemon is even more blessed by the loa! Da only problem, mon, with me new power: I have a new hunger for honey!

WoW Insider doesn't care about their fans! I'm canceling my subscription!
(I've been on the official WoW forums a lot lately... I think this is how it's done?)
Thanks for the fun times, guys! And good luck with your misdirected (undirected?) adventures in the future!

You forgot to add that this is a slap in the face to everyone who's ever voted or thought about voting!
Thanks for the fun, and I'll go QQ over in the corner by myself about no more Foxlight.
MattKrotzer Nov 9th 2011 9:16AM
Foxlight? You should upgrade to the full version. Its way better.
Zune Nov 9th 2011 9:17AM
I'm surprised you were able to make it this long without having control of your toon's choices! Having fun leveling Roblinator the way YOU want =)

*have Curse my stupidity for proof reading after I posted =P

Why is this feature going away? Just curious. I was a pretty big fan.
Kynguard Nov 9th 2011 10:01AM
Your kidding right Greg? People are bored to DEATH of 4.2 I mean even those who those who has things they COULD do (like me) just can't get motivated to remain til least 4.3. (to which I am more excited about then the new expansion sadly.
Blizzard has jumped the shark.

I dunno... moviewatch hasn't been around in a while either. They even missed Wowcrendor's latest: www.youtube.com/watch?v=EIy2gZ0DaYw
Of course missing that one could be a political move on the part of wowinsider too.
Agony Nov 9th 2011 10:59AM
@Lur - really?

Looks like Moviewatch hasn't gone anywhere at all (and WoWCrendor puts out something every week it seems, so naturally they're not going to feature every single one of his).

Ayyyy batter batter batter..!
(Ok, the migraine meds are starting to take effect. Whee.)
Bellajtok Nov 9th 2011 11:07AM
Was.... was it something we did? We can change! We'll do better! Just please don't leave us!
(Best of luck, y'all. Thanks for the fun.)

I thought this was a great service that WoW Insider provided, and I am sorry that it is going away, at least in its official form.
Coordination is difficult, publicity is difficult, consistency is difficult, but seeing an experienced player dealing with the same basic choices we all have to make is a great idea. And the idea of putting the readers in control added an interesting hook.
Adding three additional staff members to the routine was a mistake though. Robin has a great presence and way of explaining the game to beginners that made watching these sessions worthwhile. Throwing in other zany writers as anything more than cameos just diluted the interest too much.
I will keep showing up for Roblinator adventures as I am able, but this feature actually ended when she stopped being the principle character.

Why goodbye?!
I didn't always read it, but I loved that I could.
It's a comfortable fixture, that I'd rather see remain!
