"Will hunters be able to equip melee weapons, even if just for show?""Yes."I swear to if I get hunters needing against my monk for weapons I will punch a baby.

Hmm that should have said 'swear to (random deity)', guess I can't use the symbols for some reason.

it does make the RP community happy though

I'm guessing hunters will be able to hold weapons so that they can equip fishing rods. With no melee abilities, I don't think it'll be much of an issue.

I would argue that, like other gear (such as cloth or anything with INT. on it) we won't be able to roll need. BUT if we happen to get it through a greed roll we could for some unknown mysterious reason put the thing on.But *I* will punch babies if I see a hunter using a melee weapon in a dungeon when I'm healing. If I can master the basics of the class, anyone can, guys.

Need vs Greed (and non-stupid Master Looters) should solve that I would guess

@Ringo:Where was this 'hunters can't equip weapons' thing coming from? All they ever said was that A) the ranged slot was going away and B) actual ranged weapons were becoming main-hand weapons except for C) throwing weapons which are joining the relics in just going gray.

Yeah, I was under the impression that they would not be able to equip melee weapons at all . . . Time to start farming Bindings for Thunderfury again.

@Boobah, http://i.imgur.com/ulojs.jpgThat and and GC's "We've gone from everything being a Hunter weapon, to nothing being a Hunter weapon" led to the conclusion most of us had.
