I've been saying for some time now that bringing a rogue to a raid is a mistake. Before you yell: I am a rogue. I have always been a rogue. I will always be a rogue. But, there is nothing that we bring to a raid that isn't brought by someone else, who can, in most cases, do it better than a rogue. This is why I gave up on raiding. No one is looking for a rogue to join their raid, if they want a rogue in their raid, they have one in the guild.I agree that it would be nice for them to say: "Here's X talent, no one else brings this, and if a raid wants this, they will have to recruit rogues", but that goes back to "Bring the class, not the player" and Blizzard has said time and again, they don't want that. The downside of "Bring the player, not the class" is that no one will ever take a rogue, and thus, those of us who only wish to raid on a rogue get left out, a lot.
