PvP Season 10 ending as soon as next Tuesday

Season 10 of Arenas and Rated Battlegrounds will be coming to an end as early as next Tuesday, Nov. 15. Usually, although not always, this means that a major content patch is about two weeks away from the date the season ends.
When the season ends, any conquest points will be converted to honor points. If during the conversion you end up with more honor points than the 4,000-point cap allows, you won't be able to earn any more honor points until you get yourself below the cap. If you wait approximately one additional week for Season 11 to start, then any honor points above the 4,000 point cap will be converted into 35 silver per point.
The full blue post, after the break.

Nethera -- Season 10 ending as soon as Nov. 15
Arena and Rated Battleground Season 10 is scheduled to end as early as November 15. At that point we will determine who is eligible for the end-of-season rewards, a process that should take approximately one week. It's very important for players who feel that they may be eligible for Arena titles and/or the Vicious Gladiator's Twilight Drake to refrain from transferring their characters to another realm or faction until after Season 10 ends. During the break between seasons, all Rated Battleground and Arena matches will be unavailable.
At the end of the season, Conquest Points will be converted to Honor Points, possibly exceeding the 4,000 point Honor cap. All Season 10 items will cost Honor Points (equivalent to their previous Conquest Point cost) when the season ends, with the exception of any items with rating requirements attached. These items will no longer be available for purchase.
Please be aware that higher ilvl PvP items will be introduced and available for Honor points with patch 4.3.
The next Arena and Rated Battleground season will begin for level-85 players approximately one week after the end of Season 10 and will coincide with the awarding of Season 10 titles and mounts. At that time, any Honor accrued above the 4,000-point cap will be converted into gold at a rate of 35 silver per point. In addition, Season 11 rewards will be made available for purchase with Conquest Points awarded during the new season. Matchmaking Ratings will carry over when Season 11 begins, but all Team and Personal Ratings will be wiped.

I thought we'd get more notice, but I guess the patch is ready.

The RUMOR(because I cant give any source I consider it rumor) on the case here is that during the shareholders call, where they said that they lost 800k subs, Blizzard said that "we will launch our "biggest patch to date" and it will be hitting live next week and its "done testing"".
However I remain very spectical about this.
Theres been no release marked PTR patches, which has always been the case since dawn of time, around and I'm worried this patch isnt ready properly, that it will be just thrown out live realms to please shareholders and to make them "calm down because people will come back" and let us, players, "beta test" it for them for the time it would've been still on ptr - expect ton of hotfixes coming.. maybe more than usual patch(there is, of course always hotfixes).
However I'm not going to say thats the case, I will take it with pinch of salt of course as should all of us.
But at the same time it all kinda fits if they actually want to go with that strategy.

@ Ice - Maybe I can help you and by extension help you to STOP either knowingly or unknowingly spread for lack of a better term, complete bull@#!@. I have stock in ActivisionBlizzard so I am hyper sensitive to the earnings calls and I do listen to them, additionally ANYONE can listen to them by visiting http://investor.activision.com/. At NO time during that call did Morhaime even say anything REMOTELY similar to what you stated as a "RUMOR." You can see a transcript of the call as well by visiting http://seekingalpha.com/article/306409-activision-blizzard-s-ceo-discusses-q3-2011-results-earnings-call-transcript.
Instead of me bullet pointing how in fact this patch rumor you stated is patently false I will post Morhaime's relevant excerpt with regard to WoW during his portion of the call:
"Our revenues for the third quarter 2011 are down versus last year, which included the record-setting launch of StarCraft II. World of Warcraft finished the quarter with 10.3 million active subscribers worldwide, which is down from the previous quarter. While the majority of these declines are coming from the East, World of Warcraft continues to be one of the most popular online games in China and remains by far the most popular subscription-based MMO in the world.
That said, we know there are improvements that we can make in gaming content. The level-up content in Cataclysm is some of our best works. But it was consumed quickly compared to our past expansions set, Wrath of the Lich King. Once players reached max level, the end-game content in Cataclysm is more difficult. Balancing this content for our diverse player base can be very challenging.
Our development team is constantly analyzing the game, and we're continuing to explore ways that we can adjust the game to better satisfy both hard-core and casual players. To that end, our next free major content update for World of Warcraft is already in testing and will be available for players in the coming weeks.
This is our largest update since Cataclysm launch. It will include our biggest and best rated content ever, featuring the iconic dragon Deathwing, as well as a new raid finder feature. The raid finder will make it easier than ever for casual players to experience end-game content, and it will open up a big part of the World of Warcraft to more of our players.
Looking beyond our next content update, the development team is already hard at work on our next expansion set, Mists of Pandaria. We introduced the Pandarian race to the Warcraft universe with Warcraft III, and players have already been -- always been eager to see them introduced to World of Warcraft. We're finally making them a playable race in Mists of Pandaria."
Morhaime kept it vague as usual as well he should. An earnings call is not somewhere where you air out specifics so that the competitor's can adjust to it. Before you go around posting "rumors" that you may have "heard" was said, a little verification on your own part will help you in the future to avoid looking like someone who is just peddling hype.

A prime example of a fool and his capslock. Your whiney argument failed in a separate post, so you thought you'd repost somewhere else on here and see if the same people that down voted you earlier would have a change of opinion? Not likely. Now can you do us all a favor and cancel your joystiq account? Kthxbai.
snarkygoldfish Nov 9th 2011 1:34PM
@Ghost - Aw c'mon, pressing the capslock key has to count for SOMETHING!
What's the old internet addage? Something about cruise control for cool?
Noyou Nov 9th 2011 2:43PM
Crap. I was off by 2 weeks. I thought It was coming out on the 15th at the latest. 29th makes sense though too. Was this one of the longer PvP seasons, or was it just me?
WrecklessMEDIC Nov 9th 2011 3:03PM
Things aren't looking to good for the high and mighty Blizzard anymore. Used to be a significant subscription increase each earnings call, and now it's a loss every single quarter. Ah well, we knew it couldn't last forever.
Not too long before WoW switches to the FTP model I think.
Ice Nov 9th 2011 3:12PM
@hawaiiansouljah
Thanks for clearing that out.
Like I said, it was just rumor I read multiple times around forums and I didnt use it as fact so saying I spread "complete BS" was bit harsh but you were right, unknowingly I said that and maybe it was my bad then. But hey, its not first time people post rumors around? I just thought saying "I take this as rumor because I cant find source" was enough to not get me claimed as part of "flame train" or sonething.
But still it feels odd, 1-2 weeks possibly before patch (since arena season ends come couple weeks before patch like article says) with no release ptr patch (theres usually few release candidates before this season end announcement) seems bit odd still.
Well, lets see how it goes from now eh?
Revrant Nov 9th 2011 12:24PM
Ah well, at least my Hunter got to look like Shredder for a while.
Guttsu Nov 9th 2011 12:36PM
Well come 4.3 you do have the option to trasmog to the Shredder look again.
loop_not_defined Nov 9th 2011 12:54PM
Yes, after 4.3 you will be able to look like Shredder FOREVER. ;)
Boz Nov 9th 2011 1:29PM
Blizzard has not yet done an official Season 11 Tier preview, but WoWHead had a nice datamined reveal - complete with 3D Models - back in September:

I was actually kind of baffled when I saw the current hunter PvP helm with the "eyepatch". Did the artist not understand the importance of depth perception to an archer? You need both eyes.
loop_not_defined Nov 9th 2011 5:28PM
The importance of looking badass has always trumped the importance of basic functionality. Get your Hunter Priorities straight.
Arrohon Nov 9th 2011 7:28PM
The next season of hunter armor has the helmet on backwards. You can't see a thing AND it doesn't look cool (opinion). That's a bit underwhelming personally.
Revrant Nov 10th 2011 12:52AM
Ah, I had only seen the DK Season 11, that's not bad.
Of course, now that I know I can transmog it to Shredder...
TONIGHT I DINE ON ALLIANCE SOUP
HA! HA! HA! HA!
SINisterWyvern Nov 9th 2011 12:25PM
Hmm this places 4.3 right before thanksgiving. I was thinking the week after, but I'll take it.
Next: Beta in december
loop_not_defined Nov 9th 2011 12:32PM
Transmogging in two weeks! WHOOOOOO!
Also: Four day weekend for playing the new dungeons and LFR.... actually, who am I kidding? Four days of listening to other peoples' horror stories of jerks in the new dungeons and LFR. :)
Daedalus Nov 9th 2011 12:40PM
No, that would put it the week after Thanksgiving, if it's two weeks from the season end.
