Thanks to a
tweet from Bashiok and an update to the official announcement, we now know that
PVP Season 10 is ending this Nov. 29. This means that we now know that, since PVP seasons tend to end a week or two before patch drops, it becomes likely that we'll see
Patch 4.3 by the first week of December. Bashiok's tweet implies that this will be the case.
Since we know exactly when the
PVP season will be ending, you'll have exactly a week to spend honor for the current season's conquest point rewards before the new rewards are released alongside patch 4.3.
Brace yourselves for what could be some of most exciting updates to the game recently with patch 4.3. Review the official patch notes, and then dig into what's ahead: new item storage options, cross-realm raiding, cosmetic armor skinning and your chance to battle the mighty Deathwing -- from astride his back!

Yep, upon further research, it has happened before. I stand corrected.
Klausse Nov 10th 2011 8:23PM
Agree. 4.3 will drop Nov. 29. There's already a release candidate on the PTR.

Blah. Just, blah.

Why does the community continually assert that PVP Arena seasons tend to end BEFORE patches hit.
I'd argue it's the otherway around. A PVP Seaon ends the day the patch hits.
10/12/10...patch 4.0.1 hits, arena season 8 ends (next season didn't start until Cata was released, Dec timeframe).
6/28/11...patch 4.2.0 hits, arena season 9 ends, 1 week later season 10 starts.
4/14/09...patch 3.1.0 (Ulduar) hits, arena season 5 ends, 1 week later season 6 starts.
If anything, its MUCH more likely that 11/29/11 will be release date based on actual history of patch releases and their corresponding arena seasons (albeit not all arena seasons correspond directly with patch dates).

Because we forget?

Time seemed to go by quicker for other expacs and waiting for new patches. This time around it was painful.
Of course December. They are going to release a patch to contend with Star Wars..
I don't have WoW and I am very loyal and think its a great game and very well done, but I don't think 4.3 is any competition for SW:ToR. People are going to leave to play star wars whether patch 4.3 comes out or not. They would really need to release something huge for it to have any real effect.
Darkmoon Faire will be in 4.3 but not until its time for faire time which is in January, if Im not mistaken unless 4.3 comes out first week of December.

Grrr... gimme edit button. That should have said that I don't HATE WoW, not I don't have WoW. I certainly do have it.
Ariana Huffington ignores WoW Insider!! Occupy Ariana till we get a better comment system.

Im not a fan of ToR, its not that i dont like star wars, just not excited for another mmo to consume my life more xD

Wait what? Just yesterday it was the 15th. Oh well. What's another couple of weeks
Boobah Nov 10th 2011 8:36PM
Just yesterday it was *as early* as the 15th. With US Thanksgiving the week after, any delay from that optimistic date pushed it to the 29th, since Blizzard (unsurprisingly) doesn't want to deal with 4.3's teething problems on a long holiday weekend.
Phredreeke Nov 10th 2011 7:17PM
I hope patch 4.3 hits on 29/11, else we miss out on the first two days of the new darkmoon faire (or worse, whole of it) :/
thejimexperience Nov 10th 2011 7:23PM
So s10 is ending earlier in Europe? Because the European battlenet site says s10 ending november 15th. Or has the date been delayed and is the EU site not updated yet?
Fúry@warsong Nov 10th 2011 7:23PM
Wow launch in Brazil is confirmed for december 6 so that's another evidence of 4.3

@Jebediah54 I am the biggest Blizzard fanboy & love all their games, Warcraft being my favorite, BUT, with the resources at their disposal AND the money AND the merger with Activision, and we see no significant content speed up or increase of amount output. The Darkmoon Faire needed a revamp like 4+ years ago. Adding it is nice, yes, but it's another grind to keep you subbed until...? Transmog & Void storage are kewl & I am looking forward to them, but they are ALSO ideas & things needed for a long, long time...extended storage space?! changing the cosmetic looks of our gear. These aren't revolutionary things and the community clamored for them for a long time. Finally coming around to developing it & calling it content to me seems pretty shady.
Abyssal Maw 5 Man would've been nice.
Marius W. Nov 10th 2011 9:23PM
That's just how I feel about the slow content releases. They really make a lot of money and have a lot of resources available to them, but they are still working like they are a small company with a small team on WoW.
It seems a lot of that WoW money is being used for the Diablo team, Starcraft team, Titan team, and not being funneled more into the WoW team.
They can release content quicker and they should.
Mattimus Nov 10th 2011 7:53PM
I would have loved to see things like Transmogrification and Darkmoon Faire added in earlier as 4.3, and the Dragon Soul raid and 5-mans being added in 4.4 at a later date.
Transmog has been ready for-EVER-sauce, the only reason to hold it back is... well, as everyone else said, to make 4.3 a huge patch that's meant to grab and hold people away from SW:TOR.
Maybe when TOR is out, Blizz can get around to those smaller, more constant content patches.
Boobah Nov 10th 2011 8:39PM
Of course, the last time Blizzard did something like that, in the dim dark reaches of the past that was patch 4.1, there was a veritable shitstorm on the forums.
On the other hand, it's the WoW forums. You could get a veritable shitstorm started over the color of the sky.

You mean Blizzard is giving me a patch for my birthday? :D
GhostWhoWalks Nov 10th 2011 9:11PM
FFFFFFFF-
Come on Blizzard, how long are you going to make us wait for the transmogging everyone's dying to have? You announced it way back in August! I get that you need more time to finish working on the other features, LFR and the new content and all that stuff, but why make us wait for everything to come all at once when transmogging's likely been finished for around a month and a half now?
If Blizzard wants to get content out faster, they need to implement a system of putting out small patches with one or two things rather than package 15 new features into one giant patch. Look at it this way:
4.1- Zul heroics
4.2- Molten Front
4.3- Firelands
4.4- Transmogging and whatever else you had finished by then
4.5- Hour of Twilight heroics
4.6- Dragon Soul and LFR
I haven't logged into WoW for a week or so because I have nothing to do! I'm done with current PvE content, and I don't want to spend time building up VP to gear alts because a new tier will be hitting soon and I'd rather wait until it's easier to get VP that will give me cutting-edge gear. Similarly, I don't have quite as much of a reason to get on my PvP alt because, when the season ends, there will be a whole new set of gear to get, so why waste Honor now on stuff that will be replaced in a week or so? Blizzard wants to give us stuff to get back into the game, so why make us wait so long for it when those individual items are currently ready for release?

I agree with this. I loved the Vanilla patch model. Most patches weren't named and we got little patches with minor packets of fun, here and there. I remember getting patches where the main highlight was class changes for just one class. Truth be told, it would have been cool if theyd put Molten Front in with patch 4.1.
