I hope the intellect mana change isn't going to hit us caster dps too hard while Blizzard 'balances the healing stat values' or whatever they call it. For what I understand, we're going to be running around with manapools comparable with a retridin or an enhancement shammy, and with current regen systems and spell costs, that could make AoE heavy fights hell for specs that currently try to make their mana last as long as possible without gaining all that much along the fight, like frost mages. I suppose fire might also be in trouble if their main passive source of mana remains Master of Elements and happen to get a long critless streak.

Mana costs will be reduced. All the values shown in the talent previews, both resource cost and damage done, were placeholders.
It sounds like we're going to have a static mana pool from now on, i.e. same amount of mana at level 10 as we do at level 90. I could be completely off the mark with that though.
Also, this "fix to mana consumption" is based around the caster experience too. Freshly leveled 85 Mages have to stop to drink far more than one that is FL geared. mana as a resource become less and less important for Mages too as gear goes higher. Not that Arcane Mages last longer in their Nuke phase now than they did when they were doing non-heroic level 85 dungeons.
