The Queue: Horsepower
This track leads off Justice's new album. It's ... a little different than the last album.
The Dewd asked:
Just to clarify, because I have to make sure...Blizzard is not setting up the raid finder with a "run the raid until YOU get loot" system, right? You will see loot drops the first time you kill a boss every week and if you don't win anything, you either have to do the regular or heroic versions - but you can still go back and get more time in on the boss or help friends or whatever, right?
Correct. You'll see loot the first time you kill a boss in Raid Finder. You will not see loot on any Raid Finder attempt at the same boss after that until weekly resets. You're welcome to run the raid as many times as you like in Raid Finder difficulty, but you only see loot once.
ejunk asked:
another LFR clarification: do you get valor points (assuming that's what they drop...) every time you kill a boss in a week?
You only get VP for clearing each wing of the Dragon Soul raid (250 VP x 2 wings of 4 bosses), but only up to a cap of 500. This means you could either run the same wing twice or clear both wings, but no matter what, your VP from Raid Finder stops at 500. Individual bosses do not grant VP.
Samuel asked:
Somebody in yesterday's comments made a good point about the possibility of having Holy Pallies wear intellect mail. That would eliminate the one-spec armor, and also contribute to the balance of armor types.
Blizzard has mentioned this before, but the response was one I think is pretty fair: "We've built paladins in lore to be a plate-wearing class, and wearing mail just doesn't feel right for them aesthetically." You can make great arguments for, say, rogues using axes, an addition made in Wrath, but paladins in mail? Good luck.

Wandering around Stormwind and browsing the forums, the other alliance members who are incredibly adamant about the "Horde bias" theory are starting to bug me. I don't mean to say that the Alliance didn't get the short end of the stick this expansion when it came to story development - we definitely did. But what bothers me is that that's not what these people focus on. One of the huge issues they like to throw about is the fact that many alliance settlements got razed, while the Horde seemed to only get more, and they cite this as damning evidence, especially in lite of the Theramore event coming up in the pre-MoP patch.
But isn't it true that the Alliance's cities, towns, and leveling areas and content vastly outnumbered the Horde's in the Old World? Looking at the count now, it seems to be much more balanced at last. Why is it that I never see this fact brought up when people discuss the Horde bias theories, specifically when the whole "towns destroyed" thing is one of the biggest arguments?
Simple answer to a long question: It stings much more to have something taken away from you that you already have than to never have that thing at all.

So, you won't see loot on second attempt even if you don't roll at all at first?
laeleiweyn Nov 12th 2011 12:13PM
No.

"IF" that's going to be the loot system come 4.3, I'd say yes then roll if its applicable to you, otherwise a lot of people will be just as frustrated if their item doesn't pop up.
Henry Nov 12th 2011 12:45PM
The boss will only show loot for you once, regardless of whether you rolled or won anything.

I don't think this really got to the point of the question. Can anybody who knows clarify if you get Valor for every run or just once a week?
Lizenz Nov 12th 2011 1:40PM
Once/week per wing (or maybe just a flat twice a week, not positive how they're gunna work it).

Thank you :)

As far as I heard, you get valor for completing the 4 bosses.
PERIOD.
Not "Just the first time" not "each boss." You get Valor Points for completing the raid.
Which means every time you get a wing down, boom 250 Valor.
Now here's the kicker, there is a 500 pt max. So if you run the same wing twice, you cap out. You can run the other raid for loot, but will not get valor.
In fact, here, let me...

So given that you only see loot once, wouldn't it make sense to postpone your LFR runs until Monday night, when half the raid won't be able to roll on loot and you won't have as much competition?
DarkWalker Nov 12th 2011 7:15PM
@Lizenz
Actually, it's once per week per *boss*.
So, if you join a raid in progress, down the last two bosses, and later join a fresh one, you will still get loot for every boss except the last two ones.

Question for the Queue:
Why on earth can we see Azeroth suspended in the sky on the courtyard of Black Temple? Are Draenor / Outland close in proximity?
Soeroah_the_second Nov 13th 2011 12:55AM
@Reznarz
My answer for that is that the Twisting Nether is similar to hyperspace in sci-fi. Distances traveled within the Twisting Nether equal a much large distance travelled outside the Nether. Outland, being so shattered and covered in magic litter, exists almost entierly in the Nether by this point.
Physically, Outland and Azeroth are far away from each other. However, you can see Azeroth much closer while on Outland, because it's like looking through a magic-enchanced telescope at the world it is most connected to. Azeroth is in the physical plane, so you can't see Outland from Azeroth. Outland is mostly in another dimension, so general space physics and junk don't work the same way.

Ironically I drew her much chubbier than most of the races in-game already appear. I've seen some MUCH better interpretations on bigger Pandaren females that I like admittedly, though this was an early drawing for me and mostly for the mount.
She's actually not all that skinny at all, she's just not super round, either.
blazenor Nov 13th 2011 6:26PM
I think the thing you will start to see is people going "LFG, already did first two bosses" just to get in before someone who didn't run.
Andrew R. Nov 12th 2011 12:07PM
Any thoughts of what the pandaren mount will be? I'm going with something similar to what the worgen received. A pandaren will curl into a ball and bounce around at X speed.
VioletArrows Nov 12th 2011 12:14PM
After worgen, I don't think they'll ever have races with no mounts again. :/

Honestly, given the amount of them we see in the starting zone, I'm betting on Yaks.
missemilyblack Nov 12th 2011 12:26PM
I think they were looking at turtles, which would be fun :D
Drahken Nov 12th 2011 1:06PM
Pandaren are Gorons?

I am hoping for a flying nimbus cloud. It probably wont happen but I can dream
