The Queue: Warpaint
It's Sunday, and that means you're almost rid of my Queues for another four days! Here's a track by Warpaint (coincidentally titled Warpaint), one of my new favorite bands. Go get their album The Fool and enjoy what Pitchfork calls "an hour-long seance."
By the way, happy birthday, Mathew Genzer McCurley. I love you and I'm glad we're friends. Here's to many more.
Reznarz asked:
Why on earth can we see Azeroth suspended in the sky on the courtyard of Black Temple? Are Draenor / Outland close in proximity?
No, they're not. Draenor, however, is suspended in the Twisting Nether, which is not actually space; it's a collection of powerful energies, a sort of a pocket dimension that touches lots of other worlds and points in space. Unstable as it is, there are places where if you're in the Nether itself, you can see through it to other points in the universe. The Black Temple courtyard is one of those places.
Andrew R asked:
Any thoughts of what the pandaren mount will be? I'm going with something similar to what the worgen received. A pandaren will curl into a ball and bounce around at X speed.
The devs said they were considering giving them a turtle mount, given the association pandarens have to them.
Droopox asked:
Will we get rep in the Raid Finder every time we run it? Let's say there is a rep associated with any new raid, can we farm the rep in there?
Honestly, we've heard nothing at all about a reputation associated with the Dragon Soul raid, so I can't say yes or no to that. I'd just as soon assume there isn't one. At least I hope there isn't.
Yous95 asked:
Do the humans (particularly those of Stormwind) have any deity that they worship or at least believe in, such as how the night elves worship Elune?
The closest thing humans have to a deity is the Light. Stormwind-affiliated humans definitely practice Light worship almost exclusively. Bear in mind that the Light isn't really a deity, though; it's more of a philosophy, like Zen, rather than a monotheistic (or even theistic at all) religion like Christianity. The draenei view on the subject might differ, though, given that they live with the Light equivalent of angels.
Lazymangaka asked:
Is the LFR system going to be balancing players based only on roles, or will it also be taking classes into account? I just think it would be hilarious to zone into a raid and see 24 Druids making up the rest of the raid.
The Raid Finder will attempt to gather classes the same way the Dungeon Finder does -- that is, with as much variation as possible given the pool of available players.

I think a raid with 25 Druids would be an excuse for a dance party!
I imagine the new raid faction will be the Avengers of Wyrmrest Circle Expedition.
So are T11 and T12 bosses moving to justice points? I figure they are, just wanted to know if anyone checked.
Revnah Nov 13th 2011 12:17PM
Haha, you beat me!
Psiwave Nov 13th 2011 1:11PM
T11 might be, but I'd imagine tier 12 would just award fewer valor points, much like T11 bosses do now.
Mackeli Nov 13th 2011 4:38PM
just about the 25 druids raid.. seeing as Druids can perform every roll, mDPS rDPS tanknig & healing, does anyone know of any druid only guilds that attempt to raid?
it would certainly be interesting
Baribal Nov 13th 2011 5:47PM
@ Mackelli
As much as I love my and all other druids, the amount of performance boost from buffs and debuffs is huge, and an all druid raid would be missing most of them. Too many to list without getting tedious.
SO, yes, it is possible you could clear T11 and maybe some nerfed T12 normal with a well geared all druid raid, but highly doubtful you could do any actual progression. Plus think of the loot distribution nightmare.

buffs missing & present with all druids:

Throw in a few hunters of differant specs and you cover quite a bit more of those missing buffs

I heard about them on the GGW podcast (http://www.girlsgonewow.net/).

Happy Birthday Mathew McCurley!!
I had a cake around here somewhere...
xenothaulus Nov 13th 2011 12:40PM
I suspect lies.
MrJak Nov 13th 2011 5:35PM
Just check the writing on the wall.
Adam Nov 14th 2011 2:43AM
You know what they say, "You are what you eat."
I'm an entire cake, apparently.
Revnah Nov 13th 2011 12:17PM
Although a raid made up of 25 druids *would* be epic :-D
themightysven Nov 13th 2011 12:19PM
Let's see, it's the raid featuring the big bad, and there are dragons involved, so if there is a rep I'm guessing it would be named The Wings of Ash.
Rhylon Nov 13th 2011 1:09PM
And instead of grinding kills, bosses would drop pokeballs that players would turn in for rep!
cdmoller Nov 13th 2011 3:03PM
And each pokeball will rely on RNG to drop a companion pet. These pets also double as mats to make a kitty crossbow and other assorted goodies.

I'm still wondering what each race's general reaction to meeting the Pandaren will be like. I can't imagine Sylvanas and the Forsaken and the Pandaren will get along THAT well.
Arrowsmith Nov 13th 2011 1:56PM
My theories, by race:
Humans: We already have Worgen, and these guys seem pretty chill. Sure, why not.
Dwarves: A BREWIN CONTEST, AYE? IT'S ON, LADS!!
Gnomes: Their girth to agility ratio is staggering. Must know more...
Night Elves: They seem quite peaceful, yet savage in a beautiful way. Our brothers and sisters in arms, teeth, and claws.
Draenei: How can you steer such a large vessel without crashing it? ....What do you mean it's an actual turtle?
Worgen: You think WE'RE tough? Go ahead and piss that panda off, I dare you.
Orcs: They fight with great Strength and honor. Stand proud as members of the Horde!
Tauren: They strive for peace as much as we do, and battle their inner demons as we do. Truly we have found our equals.
Trolls: Check it out, mon, Da Loa be blessin more an' more every day!
Forsaken: My GOD you're fat. Are you hiding something in there? Do I need to cut it out? Because I have this knife right here...
Blood Elves: If I ever have to shave that much hair, kill me. Just kill me.
Goblins: Sweet, new suckers I mean allies!
I kid in most of these. Maybe.
glyakk Nov 13th 2011 2:10PM
@Arrowsmith You sir win!
I think the pandas are going to warm even the banshee queen's rotten heart.
Chetti Nov 13th 2011 5:56PM
haha that there is awesome. :) Go ahead, piss a panda off. :) Love it!
