Kick Z now & be done. Its not worth the agrivation or Drama. He left once. He will do it again.SOOOOO not worth it.
11-14-2011 @ 9:39AM
So very much this. Kick and move on.
11-14-2011 @ 10:07AM
It's no longer the guild he left. If he insists on demanding control, kick him.
11-14-2011 @ 10:19AM
Pretty much what everybody else is saying. Kick him NOW. Because he WILL undermine you and your sister's efforts. Hell, he's doing that right now.
11-14-2011 @ 11:36AM
Long story short, it isn't his guild anymore. He abandoned it, thats how you got control of it. The fact he came back now that YOU have put the hard work into making it semi-successful again is just reeking of douchebaggery. He left, guild almost fell apart, you guys saved it. You are the DM now (well, B is, but you might be soon), it is your guild, YOU are the ones that decide what happens.X may have started the guild, but he lost any rights to it long ago, even without the underhanded ninja-GMing.

Yep, go through with the name change, change the identity of his guild, and then, guess what? His old guild name will be available again. Let *him* start over if he wants to be guild leader so bad. He's underhanded, deceitful, and disrespectful. Tell him you plan on going through with your plans, offer to let him stay - *not* as an officer - but give him the option that if he wants to have "his guild" back, the name will be available for him to use.

How could you ever trust X/Z again? Your sister is right and the people in the guild now are there because of what you two have done. Kick, and kick fast, and move on with a new guild name and fresh start.
11-14-2011 @ 12:19PM
Kick him now, rename the guild, move on in the new direction. Now, this to Scott Andrews: Dude! Bad advice to even *suggest* that X be allowed to remain in any capacity! There is no amount of capability that X could bring to the game that would justify the risk of what he could do to the guild.
11-14-2011 @ 12:30PM
Absolutely agree. You shouldn't even let X/Z back into the guild at all, let alone consider making him an officer.I'm willing to bet a shiny new quarter that the reason he even came back to your server is that he was a ass-weasel to the guild that he transferred to and got kicked out.Calmly and politely tell him thanks, but no thanks, the guild is going in a different direction now, and good luck to him. Then /gkick.

Pretty much what everyone else here said. It's not his guild now and he clearly shouldn't be trusted. His GM alt left server and when Z was the GM it was a hassle to save the guild from his inaction. If he really cared he would have done something then. Kick him and rename. You guys deserve a fresh start. As for worrying about not being on enough, then have your sister give you the GM position just so its secure. I'm not sure of your living arrangements but hell, she could still lead through you by proxy.
