Step 1 - Lock down your guild bank. It will be only temporary. Step 2 - Apologize to your current members for any drama that is about to ensue. Explain this is only temporary and for the good of the guild. Assure them that if they have any concerns, they should come to the officer corps for answers. Step 3 - Wind up your foot and give X/Z a huge kick. While you're at it, clear your roster of any toon that hasn't played in 6 months or more unless you know who they are and why the toon is idle. Maybe Z is his only alt, but maybe he has more. Step 4 - Sit down with your officers and assess just how much time your sister can realistically give to running the guild. Divide up tasks. Ask the membership for help. Keep her as de facto leader.Step 5 - Unlock your bank and do some kind of all-guild event. The Thanksgiving holiday is upcoming. Having everyone hit up the other faction's tables will be a great way to kick off a new era of leadership. Even if your sister knows what she'd like to rename the guild, why not have people suggest names or have them rename the guild ranks? Those kinds of things promote working together and will go a long way toward putting the past behind you.
