If all you're interested in is why you died, recount has a nice "Deaths" tab that shows you what happened to your character (or party members) in the 15 or so seconds prior to their untimely demise. The mod "fatality" also will announce in party/raid the immediate cause of a person's death if you're into instant feedback.
