I really have to agree with Alex on the update thing - when you buy the current xpac, you should get the entire game. I think it's fair to make people already subscribed to pay retail for the next xpac (since you can argue it's an entirely new game), but it will get extremely prohibitive to bring in new people without that system.
Also, allowing new accounts access to the full game with just buying the current xpac will allow multiboxers an easier time to do what they do (and this would also likely boost sub numbers).
