A mage researcher of ancient artifacts vs an avatar of the holy light. I am definitely voting for Ishanah. A naaru sacrificed himself to restore the sunwell, and Blood Elves may be good at arcane magic but drawing magic from the Holy Light is still pretty new to them. Draenei lives for tens of thousands of years, to be able to replace Velen whose abilities rival those of Archimonde and Kil'jaeden, if not in power but in experience, she wins hands down.

Drawing magic from the Light isn't new to Blood Elves. They've had several thousand years practice. Quel'Thalas has had priests since around since at least the Troll Wars, if not before, and they were implied to be more like the White Mages of Final Fantasy than traditional Light worshippers like humans. The only thing new about this situation is *everyone* is drawing at least in part from the Light, and not just the priests.
Granted, they're not as old a race as the Draenei, even when you factor in the quel'dorei history. But Blood Elves have proven their skill for adapting to new situations (particularly methods of spellcasting) as well as any other race, if not more.
