Breakfast Topic: Design your own vanity gear

Blizzard has introduced a ton of items designed for no other purpose than to look cool. Almost every holiday introduces a new set of themed clothes that make you look formal, Oriental, or on fire. There are top hats, pimp hats, and chain mail bikinis. (Alarmingly, some of those bikinis give more protection than full suits of mail). Tailors can make a variety of dresses equippable by characters of all races, factions, and genders.
Most of the white or gray gear that looks good winds up on people's bank alts so they can look good while conducting business in Stormwind. But sometimes I don't want to look like I'm on my way to a wedding. Sometimes I want to look like the fearsome businessman my bank alt is named after. I want a Mad Men-style business suit, navy blue with infantry blue pinstripes and a red tie. I want my bank alt to dominate the Auction House and look like he's doing it in style. Maybe a crisp fedora to go with it, because nothing cuts a better silhouette than a man in a suit and fedora.
What sort of vanity equipment would you make for your characters if you had the opportunity?

I think I'd just want a very simple, silk dress (even for raiding!). I love the look of the fancy tier gear, but as a shaman, I think my character would prefer getting "back to nature" and not looking like she was covered in molten metal that would injure her.

maybe a wifebeater and some umbros.

There is a wife beater in the game. Alterac Valley drop that goes by the name "Sleaveless T-shirt"

Vanity items? I want a displayable libram for my pally.
I also want Bolivar's shoulders for my pally...before he got burnt to a crisp.
Anyone know if they are available?
I hope eventually blizzard will let us transmog anything and remove its limitations.
I also want a formalware raid.

These shoulders?

They're available in the Level 60 PVP gear, if you're an Alliance plate wearer.

Some very stylish military clothes (Think "dress blues", not armor) for my prot warrior.
Some awesomely mechanized, gadget-loaded stuff for my gnome rogue, who is a master tinker. Preferably in the bronze/purple motif of Gnomeregan.
Something gauzy and semi-transparent for my resto shaman. She's such a tease.
The ability to obtain a top hat for my gnomish bank alt, as well as the ability to wear it AND a monocle at the same time.

You can get a quasi-military-uniform look by combining one of the Martial shirts from Dalaran with the black tuxedo pants and an appropriate pair of boots to taste.
MattKrotzer Nov 15th 2011 8:54AM
Yeah, I just want something with some Commodore Perry-esque epaulets. Maybe a half-cape as well?
Nagaina Nov 15th 2011 9:33AM
I'm personally generally underwhelmed by the look of the half-cloaks -- I generally find their designs to be a little too "busy" for my taste. That being said, I'm sure a good-looking one exists...I just don't know what it is. ;^_^
Also: the Martial shirts work well as a uniform shirt...for a *male* toon. On female toons they're, erm, *extremely low-cut* to say the least.
MattKrotzer Nov 15th 2011 10:11AM
I meant a half cloak, not a short cloak. One like Boba Fett has, that just hangs from one shoulder.
Nagaina Nov 15th 2011 10:54AM
*That* would be damned awesome.

Skirts for ma gals. I can't believe there still isn't a single skirt in the game. Trousers, shirts, blouses, hats, but not one skirt they could wear with, say, the red swashbuckler shirt (at least not when I last checked - correct me if I'm wrong, please!).
Deeeee Nov 15th 2011 8:23AM
not really a skirt but the simple kilt works with the red swashbuckler shirt.
MattKrotzer Nov 15th 2011 8:24AM
There's lots of skirts. Unless you mean miniskirts, of which there are none.
MattKrotzer Nov 15th 2011 8:27AM
The Colorful Kilt http://www.wowhead.com/item=10048 is another nice one.
There's some nice Pirate outfits listed here. None of them are skirted, but they're nice looks.
