I would live an ability we could use out of combat to quickly get up into places ala the keeps and forts or ledges.
It would be sort of like a shadow step but you target an area.
Allowing us to quickly get up into a position to leap from the shadows.

You mean like another version of Heroic Leap?

Not a bad idea. If it were to replace Preparation (this is assuming our abilities would finally be balanced on their own instead of a boring reset button) on the same tier, that'd be a pretty interesting choice to make.
