I do like the new conquest change. It rocks tbh! But I still have a fundamental problem with the way pvp gear is distributed in cata.Basically...at the end of the day...there is going to be no discernible difference. between the guy who just played BGs, or played the minimum number of arenas on a team named "for teh pointz", and a guy who actually cut his teeth and strived to be the best he could be, but didn't achieve over 2.2k rating. The only thing that guy gets is he gets his gear just slightly faster...but having one or two more pieces than your opponents for a short while doesn't seem like enough of a reward. Basically...to me WoW pvp is telling me "get 2.2k or gtfo."Why struggle...why does it matter? If you're like me and hit a brick wall at the 1800-1900 rating range there is literally no reason to do anything more than the BGs for conquest. There's no lasting glory there. It's like if 5 man heroics granted the same gear as a normal mode raids, but normal mode raids granted the gear a little faster...at the end of the tier everyone would be wearing the same gear no matter what they did...and you'd be like "okay, why did I just bust my ass in these raids?" (Other than for the experience of course). What Blizzard needs to do to motivate more earnest pvp is piecemeal out the gear across ratings just like they did in TBC. You unlock your gloves at 1600, legs at 1700, chest at 1800, etc. so there's some reason beyond just the enjoyment of arenas (which I actually do enjoy very much) to actually try and bust your hump in arenas! So you can say..."well I didn't get 2.2k...but at least I have x pieces of gear to show I tried." I greatly dislike this all or nothing style that the conquest system has made. It's like either you get over that magical number or you get diddly squat...and tell me...what other system in WoW is that punishing? Yea, that's right...there isn't one.

Getting 2200 rating is not hard, I've gotten it on multiple alts in less than a week. Also if the main reason you're not doing Arena, bgs or anything in this game is not FUN, then you're doing it wrong and shouldn't be doing it at all.Actually not having fun doing it might be the reason you're not hitting 2200.

I never said it wasn't fun...in fact I said just the opposite...but I guess you're too busy stroking your e-peen to actually read anything. Not too hard now! You're going to get chafing.

@ EmoSeriously getting above 2000 rating IS difficult. For you it might be easy, grtz for that, but you forget the arena ladder system is based on a human competition. That's why ONLY 0.5% of PvP players get to the Gladiator title. You are simply saying that it is easy but 90% of all players will never get there. As an example: take the BEST 500 Arena players in the world and let them have a SPERATE competition: the vast majority will not go to 1800+ rating. That's simply the ladder system. What you say is basically this: I am Chirstiano Ronaldo and being good at football is easy.No it isn't for 99% of us.So let's have our fun and you'll have yours.

Except Glad is not 2200.What your comparing is basically PVEwise is 7/7 Firelands (Glad), to 2200 (1/7 hc, funnily enough where I am in PVE).Getting 1/7hc isn;t hard, tons of guilds do have it, I have it and I'm pretty bad at playing my hunter in PVE and my guild in general isn;t very good (but Iove them) but we still got there, it's after that that all the fights get much harder. 2200 is the same, you can have a terrible win/loss ratio and still get 2200 pretty easily, but it's after thatI know a lot of people who hit a wall right after 2200, because that's where you start fighting the good players who actually want to do arena for reasons other than gear/T2 weapon, but even my friends who aren't very good at all can atleast get to 2200.And then you have the duelists (6/7hc common but not super common) who after wiping 300 times against rag finally become glad at (7/7hc, the 1% or w/e) it took me more than 3 years of hardcore arena to hit my first glad, it wasn;t some kind of whim or something I did my first try, so I'm not some super player or anything, nor was it my intention to brag, but saying getting to 2200 is hard is like saying 7/7 Firelands normal is hard, I;m sorry but it's not true at all, it gets hard after that.

Ugh, rereading what I said, I don;t really have a point, you can ignore that. You have your fun, that;s cool, I have my fun, but 2200 is not worth bragging over for anyone, so I wasn;t bragging, it would be like if I bragged that I;m 1/7hc.I need to sleep...
