Brann walked slowly into the arena, looking around at the intricate designs and structure.“Oh… I see now… So, that’s how it works…”Vareesa stood at the other end of the arena, with her hand on her hip, waiting impatiently.“Stop gawking at the architecture Brann, our match-up is on a schedule you know.”“Oh, right. Well, let’s get to it then.”As Vareesa pulled out her bow, Brann pulled out an Extinct Turtle Shell and a Scimitar of the Sirocco.“Right, before we begin, do ya’ mind if I have a drink?” Brann asked.“…no, go ahead…” Varessa answered with a quizzical look on her face.As he took a swig of his Vrykul Drinking Horn, he grew by about 50%, and charged.Initially stunned by Brann’s sudden attack, Vareesa had to quickly jump out of the way of Brann’s charge before she could take a shot from her bow. She then began strafing Brann, shooting and running at once, in an attempt to keep her distance from his assault. However, Brann was able to keep up a steady pace due to his increased size, and was blocking most of her shots with the turtle shell. So, she decided to chance tactics and drop a freezing trap. While Brann did run into the trap and get frozen; before Vareesa could fully use the delay to get distance, Brann turned into a wisp and floated right out of the trap!“What!? How can a dwarf become a Wisp?”“When you’re a world-renowned Archeologist, you can find items of great power, such as the Wisp Amulet.”Vareesa glared at him, and waited for him to return to his former, dwarven, shape.Once he had done so, he knelt down, and began working with something at his feet.“What are you tinkering with now Brann?” Vareesa asked as she readied her next shot.“Oh, just a little Eldritch magic… By the way, were you aware that raptors had even sharper teeth in ancient times? Here, I’ll let you see.” As he finished his sentence, he threw a collection of bones towards Vareesa. As they flew, they rotated around themselves until they formed a full-sized Fossilized Raptor mount that was charging straight for her!Her eyes went wide as she leapt out of the way of the living fossil, and with her attention focused on taking it down, Brann ran off to a different area of the arena, burying a small gem. With the struggle she was having taking out the Raptor, Brann stealthily walked around the edge of the arena until Vareesa was between him and the gem. With one final shot, the fossil collapsed into a pile of bones and Vareesa turned her attention back to Brann. “Now, where were we?”“I was just about to cut you.” He stated flatly as he put his sword and shield away, and pulled out Zin’Rohk, Destroyer of Worlds. “Ya’ know what weapon THIS is, don’t ya’?”“Zin’Rohk! You wouldn’t…”“Oh, aye! Now, CHAAAARGE!!!”As he ran head-long towards her, she instinctively jumped backwards, landing right on the gem Brann had buried earlier. With the impact, she felt something hard and sticky immediately start to grow up her leg. In alarm, she looked down and saw a transparent orange crystal begin to encase her legs and torso. “Brann! What is this!?! What’s happening!?!”“Oh, don’t worry, no permanent harm will be done ta’ ya’. It’s only some Ancient Amber. It’s just my way ‘o’ winnin’ without killin’ ya’.“That’s not—“ Her words were cut off as the amber finished covering her mouth and head, leaving only her eyes free to move within the crystal. As Brann bowed to the audience, some Coliseum workers came in to haul her away.
