I rather liked having Highborne reforgers. Ethereals will be great, too, but I'll miss those Highborne in their fancy robes.

I personally wouldn't care if it was a vending machine that did it, but it's going to suck not having them in every major city. Sharing one Reforger with the entire faction, especially with new gear being introduced, is going to suck. It's going to suck a lot.

I have a feeling they didn't willingly retire, more like the ethereals engaged in some shady business competition. Like a quick dagger to the back.

Well, no, they didn't get murdered exactly. How do I know? Because the old reforging NPCs are all still there. They just don't do any reforging anymore. They're still there so they can tell players where the new reforger is. Kind of stupid, IMO. As long as they're there, what's the harm in letting them do reforging?
