I think they should still leave the group quests alone. It's not like you NEED to do them to be able to proceed, anyway (unlike the very linear Cataclysm quests). They are nice for an excuse to speak up in general chat and see if there would be any willing participants.

Which I actually just did the other day with my hunter, I teamed up with a paladin in order to complete Last Rites. It is still a social game, after all.

And while working on Skyguard rep in Blade's Edge, I was able to help some people with the gronn quests there. They really appreciated it and I liked being useful.
