I can tell you from personal experience, these server blades are worth it.
Most of them don't even go for absurd prices. There are 4 blades per realm. Farstriders sold around 200-250 (plus shipping) per blade. I've seen other servers go for far less.
Support the kidz and get an AWESOME discussion piece for your office cubicle.

Try one of the original servers. I stopped looking at mine once it hit the $305 mark.
I would love to get one, and support the charity, but I just can't afford $400+

Managed to snag a Ravenfail for $280. I've played this game enough to warrant a collector's piece like this to show off.

From the father of a St. Jude patient, thank you. Thank you very much. My 8 week old son is currently undergoing treatment for hepatoblastoma at St. Jude. So, again, thanks Blizzard and server buyers everywhere.

I tried to get them to take my money but luckily too many people were able to give more :P Best wishes for your son, and your family.

Commentor on official site: "My problem with this auction is not the 100 dollers they cost .. but the 119 dollers it costs to ship them .. that amount dosent go to any charity .."
Well no shit. It goes toward getting the item to you. If you don't want an item in return for your charity just donate to St. Jude yourself. Odds are, you haven't done that, so instead of donating nothing you have a problem with donating something. Whomever you are, stop talking out of your ass like Blizz is scamming or something. This is a far more philanthropic than a lot of companies are, and they actually put effort into giving an incentive to their fans to give. I'm sure the motive at a corporate level is tax breaks, just like the motive at the end level is getting a sweet piece of WoW history, but it gets money to a noble cause, so fuck haters.

Understanding of course that these are European servers and shipping across Europe, so shipping costs vary a lot.
The USA servers to a USA address were like $15-20 I think. Nothing unreasonable for the size of them I think.

Shipping costs what shipping costs, that has nothing to do with anything that should cause somebody to have an issue with this really nice thing that Blizz is doing. So many people speak about things like they've got their head up their ass.
"Shipping to Canada is $90 so I have a problem with this!" That's inane, misplaced contrariness.

I was going to bid on a Senjin one back when they were up, not sure what they ended at, but just had no money at the time. Even though I don't play now, it was a part of my life for a long time and I have lots of fond memories.
While I've got nothing against Make-A-Wish, it is nice to see St Jude also, great charity.

Love my Kil'jaeden US blade! Won it in the last seconds in a bidding war at $405. The ultimate WoW collectible methinks (next to my shmexy Frostmourne)!

I got one for about 230 after losing a ton of tries. Not a bad price as the ones i lost were over 300, some closer to 400. Didn't get the realm i play on, but that's not a big deal. Also, my shipping was only about $34, not bad at all, some i saw had shipping over $100, so good idea to always check shipping on items, it's not always the same.
Good cause, neat collectible, win win. I do wonder if there is anyone trying to make their own server though. ;) Also curious how much was made, had to be a nice chunk.
