Tiny little "quality of life" request: Can you guys move the download links back above the break?
Keep up the great work! And welcome back, Sacco!

Mr. Rodgers would be a very interesting celeb to advertise for WoW, seeing as how he died in 2003.
Of course, seeing how it seemed like all of the footage they used for Chuck could have been spliced into an add for any video game and worked, maybe with some creative editing it could work.

He could be a forsaken.

With regards to raid content dying:
We tend to get content patches (these days) with a couple dungeons and a raid. Patches 3.1 and 3.2 were originally planned to be together but they had to release the troll dungeons to appease a bored playerbase.
What if we didn't have raids in the future? What if those stories were told in the 5-man content? What if we received 4,5, maybe even 6 5-man dungeons with a new content patch?
Without raids, could we get hard modes for 5-mans?
I don't think such a thing will happen, but I know I'd be pretty psyched about it. I personally think the 8-10 player range is really ideal for higher level content. It's enough players to where you can have those interesting mechanics that just can't be done in 5-mans because you only have 1 tank and 1 healer.

I find skinning makes ton. I get like 6g each, and you can sell tons. And if you have a lw , you can make them heavy leathers and upconvert them to pristine hides. (50 leather=1 hide)

Chuck Norris is a good man. It is not right for you to insinuate that blizzard should not hire him as a spokesperson for a commercial just because he is Christian.

I agree. Sacco most likely doesn't like him because he supported Proposition 8. Just because Chuck Norris doesn't support gay marriage, doesn't make him anti-gay or intolerant. There are legitimate arguments for both sides of the issue. Calling someone anti-gay or intolerant is just a cheap and easy way to try and win an argument, much like using racist, bigoted, sexist, etc.
The little I do know about Chuck Norris is that he is a very charitable person with his time and money. Sacco should take back what he insinuated in the podcast that Chuck Norris wasn't a good person without giving a credible example.
With that said, I thought the commercial was entertaining. I've watched it several times and had a good laugh each time.

If someone wants to deny another person civil rights due to an immutable and personal characteristic that does not affect others' rights, they should be called out for the horrible and backwards thing they're doing. Perhaps Chuck Norris might be a good man, but Mike Sacco IS a good man for calling attention to the horrible and regressive opinion Norris has.
Sayomara Nov 25th 2011 9:21PM
Tom you are aware most of the people that voted for Prop 8 also voted for Barak Obama right?
Tom Nov 26th 2011 5:14AM
What's that have to do with anything? Denying people civil rights is wrong.

@jbeleau they didn't
@Sund You admit that you know little about Chuck Norris and then write a post based on a bunch of personal assumptions. Before asking Sacco to take back what he said you should do some research yourself. Chuck Norris has gone way beyond simply opposing gay marriage. Look up his anti-gay rhetoric on public schools for example.
Then you say "Calling someone anti-gay or intolerant is just a cheap and easy way to try and win an argument, much like using racist, bigoted, sexist, etc..." Err what if they ARE anti-gay though as Norris is on record.
You just come across as an apologist for bigotry.
Sund Dec 1st 2011 6:03AM
@ Boo In a post entitled “If Democracy Doesn’t Work, Try Anarchy,” featured on Townhall.com, Norris writes: Bitter activists simply cannot accept the outcome as being truly reflective of the general public. So they have placed the brainwashing blame upon the crusading and misleading zealotry of those religious villains: the Catholics, evangelical Protestants, and especially Mormons, who allegedly are robbing the rights of American citizens by merely executing their right to vote and standing upon their moral convictions and traditional views. [...]
The truth is that the great majority of Prop. 8 advocates are not bigots or hatemongers. They are American citizens who are following 5,000 years of human history and the belief of every major people and religion: Marriage is a sacred union between a man and a woman. Their pro-Prop. 8 votes weren’t intended to deprive any group of its rights; they were safeguarding their honest convictions regarding the boundaries of marriage.
This doesn't sound much like hate speech to me. But since you think I come across as an apologist for bigotry, I won't try to argue the point further.

When people undercut by one copper on a 5000g item, I'll buy the "more" expensive one. If the undercut is to suggest that I would care about a meaningless saving then it feels vaguely insulting, but if the undercutting is simply to get their item listed first then it's worth one copper to me to not put up with that BS.
Tom Nov 25th 2011 2:05AM
Desolace is pretty, but it also feels unnatural to me. The zone has a lot more depth for me when I see on one hand the sort of change I would wish for in-character, yet on the other hand the "positive" change seems wrong and inappropriate. Now, the zone has a sinister undercurrent for me.
