Breakfast Topic: What's your idea of good random in-game fun?
Imagine you are an elemental shaman. You notice that Arathi Basin is on Call to Arms and decide to queue up. You've got a bit of a crazy streak in you, so you decide to head up to the Lumber Mill. You're new to the path of the shaman and are still experimenting with your abilities. The battle is getting pretty overwhelming, and you know you don't have a lot of health. You really don't want that warrior getting too close. You decide to throw out a Thunderbolt in an attempt keep some distance and watch in awe as the warrior's frustrated body sails beautifully through the air and off the cliff to meet his certain demise below.
That was awesome!
You've just found your purpose in WoW. After the BG, you relate your experience to your friends. Before you know it, you've got a group of elemental shaman and boomkins queuing up for Arathi Basin and Eye of the Storm with no other purpose in mind than to knock as many people to their deaths as possible. Unfortunately for the rest of your frustrated team, you don't care about winning or losing; you are having the time of your life.
While it certainly is fun to have the best gear, down the toughest raid bosses, or reach that next Arena rating, sometimes we all need to step back from the seriousness and remind ourselves that we are playing a game. Sometimes we need to take a break from the emblem grinding and talent tweaking and just do something that makes us laugh until our sides ache.
Whether it's forming a knockback brigade, repeatedly jumping off high cliffs, or dueling while under the influence of in-game alcohol, tell us what you do when you just want to have a good time.

I remember back when Eyes of the Beast still existed, used to have loads of fun traveling and fighting as a pet. That's what I felt a druid should REALLY be. Able to transform into ANY animal, not just cat/bear/bird, but also snake/boar/... you get the (gest/jist?).
Dementron Nov 23rd 2011 6:44PM
Yeah, I really miss Eyes of the Beast too. That was fun to play with.

Not to go too far off topic, but someone made a request thread to bring it back in MoP, well hopefully if blizzard listens. Saw this on Petopia.

I hope it does get brought back...it beats Move Pet, which is also very useful, in almost every way. Plus, its more fun.

I like getting my Troll druid while waiting in queue and playing "freefall chicken".
Shift into bat form, fly to the very top of the zone above Org, then shift back into troll form and see how close to the ground I can drop before shifting back into bat form without dying.
Druid base-jumping FTW!

Soloing old content (Outlands heroics, mostly) and I suppose I may try NR heroics at some point this expansion. Not only is it fun, it's also kind of lucrative too.
And what I love most is I'm usually doing it on my discipline priest. I really need to get a plate wearer up to 85 one day, I'm sure I'd have a blast.

Running old content solo. Long time ago, I was trying to catch my Hunter's dungeon-run achievements up (I created him before cheebies were introduced) and ran Blackfathom Deeps.
In Lunar Festival PJs.
Doing nothing but melee.

Back in the day when Blackrock was busy an you had to run to instances it was terribly entertaining to MC people and run them off the ledges into the lava below XD alas those days are long gone now.

Back in the final days of wrath my friends & i used to do these "challenge modes" on the "normal" heroic dungeons(not the icc ones), like doing runs without tank, or no healer runs, we all had alts so we swapped roles hehe, we had a blast.

Sorry, guys. Just testing something.

Oh I used to do lots of crazy stuff and still do, I can roll a lvl 1 undead rogue and get it all the way to argent tourny grounds without being ported and only flight path taken is from UC to howling fjord. my record so far is only 14 deaths. (and just from exploring new zones you will be lvl 7 by the time you get there)
another fun thing with a Tauren (or group of tauren is even better) is to fly over a bunch of gnomes and dismount and go splat they look around like wtf? if ya land on a gnome or whatever race your raining cows on you get extra points.
The naked Gnome race is fun, get as many gnomes as you can to race laps around ironforge (no blink, mounts or rocket boots allowed)
then there is my favorite silly pastime of all....get some grey vendor trash, giftwrap it and mail it to some random player on the server, from a lvl 1 toon that you delete as soon as you mail it so it shows up as unknown :P

This is a bit chiche. But I often find myself outside of org killing boars

In Burning Crusade I was in a really great guild, and I was helping a guildy quest in Stranglethorn when a group of two lvl 70 Horde started killing us. After about five minutes of this both of us switched to our mains and killed them right back. Pretty soon a couple of THEIR gildies showed up and killed us. I then sent the call through my guild chat, and pretty soon we had an all out guild war going in STV right in front of the arena. We were pretty evenly matched and did this for about two hours. My fondest memory of WoW at this point.

You and some friends get on their hunters go to stv arena, no pets. And play a fps with each other

When I was a young 'un (about level 25-30ish) I had a high level rogue for a friend. This was back in BC. I would ask him to run me through dungeons that were either my level or higher. Once he'd started pulling mobs, I'd strip naked except for a fishing pole, then dive headfirst into melee. The challenge was to see if he could get me out of there alive :)

Probably the funniest thing our guild did was place portals in Dal, after a bad raid night we would get our mage to place an org portal next to the org portal in dal. We would then spam trade that there were allies in Org killing Thrall, we would get up to 40 ppl standing around the mage portal going wtf portal server is broken, we would stand around and watch literally crying at everyone trying to go through the mage portal and bitching that it wasn't working, always cheered everyone up after a night of hard progression
