Well.... there's my weekly dose of anticipatory heartache.
By which I mean job well done. Keep it up.
Cadychan Nov 23rd 2011 1:42PM
I know...I'm sorry it's so sad. :(
If it makes you feel any better, I'm a total Daddy's Girl, so working on this just makes me heart break. ~_~

WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHuhuhuhuhaaaaaaaaaaaaah..... *choke* *sniffle*

Why does he write with an accent?
KataSamoes Nov 23rd 2011 1:08PM
Same reason Blizzard does, for immersion.
Cadychan Nov 23rd 2011 1:41PM
What KataSamoes said.
Just so we know who's talking.
Teresa Nov 23rd 2011 7:06PM
Ok I lol'd. This is why I want wow to have lots more voice acting. Hearing dwarves talk is cool and imersive, but trying to friggen decipher their accent in written form is a nightmare. Dont let me get started with trolls.
Agony Nov 23rd 2011 10:47PM
Wha choo be talkin' 'bout, mon? Der be no wronga ways dat we trolls speaks, juno? Mebbe dis ting dat joo be needin' iza way te de good mojo, an' dat be by steppin' inta dis here big iron jacuzzi ting. Ya go 'head an' make yaself all comfy-like, mon, an' I start de fire ta make it nice an' steamy. Doncha mind de carrots an' onions - dey's fer...aromatherapy.

Because he is from Azeroth's version of Scotland. And he is written bloody well if you ask me. I should know, hailing from piss-wet through Bonnie Raining like a Bastard at the moment Scotland as I do.
It's shocking how a single page of a cartoon can make my eyes feel it is a bit dusty in here.
Grats, Cady.

Gee, it's a good thing his little girls never read this letter. As it stands, I can't wait for their father to discharge his duty to the crown and then return to Stormwind, where he raises them in gruff, wacky sit-com father-esque fashion, while they grow into strong, confident young women who love and respect their dear ol'dad, even if they tease him mercilessly about how soppy he gets whenever he gets wound up on one of his "Remember when you were _this_ tall?" stories. Really, they should just bin this letter already. Leaving something like around is liable to have An Effect on budding young minds.
...what's that? Quillboar silhouettes on the horizon, you say? La la la, fingers in my ears, I can't hear you.
Dreyja Nov 23rd 2011 3:22PM
/choke.. /sniffle :*( Is it just that my dad is basically an abnormally tall Dwarf but this is killing me!
Well done my dear, keep breaking my heart because I'm loving it!
Sintraedrien Nov 23rd 2011 4:33PM
Ummm, next comic arc, can we please have a happy ending? Please?
(It just seems things are turning tragic all over)

The concept of rezzing in WoW has always bothered me. It's obvious our characters can rez people... heck you even do it for a few quests. Why can't we rez the poor NPCs that die?
poggg Nov 24th 2011 10:09AM
There's also references to people being "too far gone" to resurrect in quests, and other similar stuff. I imagine they need to not have been dead long, and having a relatively intact corpse may also come into play.
Farlon Nov 28th 2011 5:16PM
Like Poggg says, I'd guess.
Not to mentioning that most examples of canon "ressurections" aint really giving the desired result (the whole undead incident).
(Personally, i have allways pretended that the ressingspells are more like a super-heal that jumpstarts the halfdead victim)
Cadychan Nov 28th 2011 5:48PM
Personally, (and for storytelling purposes), resurrection is more bringing a drifting soul back to its body. You need to res the person within a few hours of their death, and yes, they need a -somewhat- intact body to come back to.
Sadly, Papa dwarf would've been dead for a few days in the current storyline, and, well, there are a lot of scavengers in the Barrens... *cough*
yagamimoon Nov 23rd 2011 6:21PM
Can't we just get he got ressed, ran fast enough to his corpse from the camp taruajo gy, ANYTHING that just surprise us and makes him survive somehow? T_T He turned DK, a Valkyr was passing by... anything? u_u
