Aubrey Plaza has made a name for herself in NBC's Parks and Recreation as the hilariously deadpan snarker April Ludgate. She channels that character in the latest Warcraft commercial recently posted by Blizzard, in which she tells the story of how her boyfriend disappointed her on her birthday with the gift of WoW.
I swear that is the truth, I actually twittered a few days ago that I'd love Amy Poehler to do a commercial spot for World of Warcraft. It looks like they got the next best thing -- one of her awesome coworkers. I just hope this commercial isn't Parks and Rec canon though, because April and Andy are the cutest couple.
Because your post implied that it's impossible to mine diamonds, when in reality, it's plenty possible. That's why you got downrated. Your third posts was because you were complaining about being downrated.
I liked it, though probably like Mr T better, it's probably tied with Minime.
Yeah, she's serious/abrasive, but I still enjoyed it. At least she had some lines instead of just a voice over while she stared at the camera. (Coulda used some gameplay though.)

I'm pretty sure that my miner has never ever mined diamonds.
Terrant Nov 24th 2011 12:15PM
Mine has! http://www.wowhead.com/item=12800#mined-from-object

It is a old world rare ore that Jewelcrafters can use.

I know mine has. Azerothian Diamonds!
Phantom Nov 24th 2011 12:19PM
That's probably why she dumped him. He was a terribad.

Azerothian Diamonds
Joe Nov 24th 2011 12:20PM
Well, to be overly pedantic and literal, Azerothian Diamonds can be mined from Thorium Veins.
Harvoc Nov 24th 2011 12:21PM
Eh, it's been years since I've mined in Old World. My bad everyone.
Noyou Nov 24th 2011 12:23PM
Then you probably never mined Thorium. If you mine Throrium, eventually you will run into some Azerothian diamonds. You can prospect them too. ;)
Harvoc Nov 24th 2011 12:25PM
Also, Black Diamonds can be mined from Dark Iron Deposits.
VioletArrows Nov 24th 2011 12:25PM
I find them very rarely. It's easier to just have a Jeweler or Alchemist make one.
Harvoc Nov 24th 2011 1:45PM
Why are people downvoting me? Just because I haven't mined diamonds doesn't mean you can't.

Ok THAT is absolutely Brilliant! Best game ad ever!
Blizzard is really showing how dynamic they can be!
Harvoc Nov 24th 2011 12:13PM
I don't know but the feel of the ad just threw me off. It feels like it's vaguely insinuating that WoW breaks up relationships but that's just me.
Joe Nov 24th 2011 12:23PM
Yeah, it's a somewhat weird departure from Blizzard's usual WoW ads.
Noyou Nov 24th 2011 12:29PM
@Harvoc
That's a little bit of a stretch. So every sitcom you watch you take literally?
jfofla Nov 24th 2011 12:35PM
The reason you don't get it, is you are a gamer. This ad is NOT for gamers, it is for NON-Gamers.
This ad is as brilliant as the Apple ads. It shows gaming as hip, cool, and the thing to do.
This is the way Blizzard should be spending ad dollars.

Guess he shoulda just got her a diamond. :)

@ Noyou
What do you mean? I just said that the feel of the ad wasn't to my taste. Also, you're supposed to take sitcoms literally. It is reality, no?
