I rolled my first (and main to this day) toon, a nelf rogue, just over 23 months ago. I had DL'd a LK trial version and I was off in Teldrassil; mystified by the mechanics, entranced with the music, enamored with the wisps, immersed in the landscape, and single-handedly and bravely questing, slaying boars, spiders and nightsabers. I was on vacation from work, that magic 10+ days before Christmas and after NYE and everything in between. I played day and night, stopping just long enough to run across the street and get MTO at Sheetz, make coffee, crack a beer or sleep for 4 hours. I was completely obsessed and I loved every minute of it. Soon, I was scouring the beaches of Darkshore, cursing the bloodthirsty murlocs, gaining reputation with the folk of Auberdine, blundering into forested furbolg encampments, horrified by ghosts in overgrown ruins, stealthing through the ruined cities plagued by naga, satyrs, and other unsavory creatures.Ah such simpler times! End game is great with heroic dungeons, refreshed content, raiding, etc. But it will never be quite the same with the nostalgic and mystical feeling as when I first played.
