The Queue: Black Fly Day

Why is everyone so excited about shopping today? First of all, it's a little weird to have an entire day dedicated to black flies, and second, where the heck can you even buy them? I don't understand American consumerism at all.

There's been no indication whatsoever, either from Blizzard or from PTR datamining, that it'll be possible to prospect epic gems from Pyrium Ore. At this very moment, it seems that geodes are the only way to get 'em.

You get them when you kill the final boss.

There are specific paths they walk, yes. I got to see the tool that the devs use to create the WoW world and spawn points and that kind of thing, and the paths for mobs to walk were pretty clearly defined.

No, it was just a teaser trailer like we got for Cataclysm at BlizzCon '09. We didn't see the Cataclysm cinematic until October 2010.

How long does the XP boost item from the 7th anniversary last?

It lasts for an hour, but it has a 10 second cooldown. The only sad part is it's only usable during WoW's 7th Anniversary, so you better get some use out of it now! :D

Well, this confuses me a little. I wasn't sure whether you could only use it during the anniversary, or if it required the feat of strength to use it.

Oh yeah, I don't have any alts to level (that I want to play right now), but my new Paladin has been using it all week for his randoms for that rep bonus. Beats the hell out of doing dailies!

It's definitely only usable during the two week 7th anniversary period shown in the in-game calendar.
In fact, the time limited nature of the item is the entire reason why there's a two week WoW 7th anniversary event in the in-game calendar. (Which doesn't make a lot of sense otherwise.)

The last 2 wow anniversary events were at least a week long. They want the most people to be able to get the feat of strength.

The Anniversary event lasts until 11:59pm realm time on Saturday, Dec. 3. The EXP token is not consumable, so you can use it every hour until next Saturday night.
