The Queue: What does that even mean?

"China is here"? I don't even know what the hell that means.
Glasscannon asked:
Which race has the best 2H weapon animations in your opinion?
Unequivocally, male blood elves.
Mal asked:
How long does the XP boost item from the 7th anniversary last?
It lasts an hour, but the item only has a 10-second cooldown. It'll work all the way through the WoW's two-week seventh anniversary celebration, so click that sucker!
Mal also asked:
Also, do you think Blizzard will add a 'Hide Shoulders' option with transmog coming out?
No. Blizzard is pretty adamant about shoulders being part of the game's visual style. Shoulders are also the only equipment besides weapons and helms to have unique geometry, so it makes sense that Blizzard would want them to be on display whenever possible.
Puntable asked:
After looking at the list that someone made that showed what each class was losing and gaining in MoP, I was very dismayed that my main character is a Disc Priest.
Losing: Renew, Heal, Binding Heal, Divine Hymn, Mind Blast, Devouring Plague, and Atonement.
Gaining: Pushback reduction.
Do you think this is possibly intended, or were the Bizzard proof-readers on vacation when they posted the talent calculator?
Blizzard stated recently that there are missing abilities in the calculator due to bugs. I wouldn't worry about missing abilities too much right now.
crazieanimefan1 asked:
Q for the Q: I'm a lore fanantic, yet I have to wonder something on Malfurion and Tyrande. I know they're married, but I have to wonder why Blizz didn't change Tyrande's last name to "Stormrage" instead of keeping it "Whisperwind".
Night elves probably don't have that custom.

Do you have a site you recommend for looking through transmog gear for headgear specifically? I'm trying to find some awesome hats for my rogue to use to make him look more like a true 'rogue', IE swashbuckler--
Wraithanne Nov 26th 2011 12:16PM
You could use Wowhead's character viewer. You can swap gear on there and it'll display.

Use this site. It's pretty awesome. Figured out what Hunter gear I want through this. :3

Use the Mogit addon. It is amazing.
Wix Nov 26th 2011 12:57PM
I also found a fun site called The Visual Roleplay Gear List, if you don't want to go the addon route.
djsuursoo Nov 26th 2011 12:58PM
i'll second the mogit suggestion. it's modular and load on-demand so pretty lightweight(if that's a concern).
the best part is making a wishlist, and if you use atlasloot, you're totally set as it links to atlas to provide a drop location/vendor list for your wishlist. it also has full functionality with the dressing room option to give you full preview capability.
a half hour's work unless you're really fussy will let you build up a wishlist of all the gear you'll need. i used it to get a ninja suit for my rogue, as well as decide that the season 8 pvp gear prolly is prolly the best worgen DK set to use for its low profile and very sleek design.
*chugs a pepsi while ford mustangs leap through exploding hoops in front of a giant screen showing an x-box*
yeah, that was nigh-endorsing an addon.
it's also the only non-combat addon i have. that says something for how bloody nice it is.

http://wowmogging.com/ has literally every set, for every class and proficiency, it also has collections (Sets that look alike and match but don't count as a set e.g. hillman's leather)

I did not see the Light and How To Swing It (the prot pally edition) up yesterday- was this perhaps due to a vacation or the holiday, or are you looking for another new columnist? I have really enjoyed reading these, so I am hoping it is a temporary vacation
Task Nov 26th 2011 12:33PM
I'm presuming it could be because of the US Thanksgiving weekend on Thursday, hence why there was no Light and How To Swing It (the prot pally edition) yesterday.
Ace Nov 26th 2011 12:09PM
Even if they do have that custom, many people in public office/celebrities keep the name everyone knows rather than change it
Shoikler Nov 26th 2011 12:22PM
Yeah, could you imagine Malfurion's reaction to having to change all his stationery? "We must think of the trees, Tyrande. Plus that gold leaf embossing isn't cheap, you know."
Draelan Nov 26th 2011 1:16PM
My guess would be that the wife changing her last name is optional in Night Elven society, or that there was no name change in this case due to their political status/fame. (To avoid confusion.) I do recall seeing husband/wife pairs (as identified by the questgivers) in questing areas that shared the same last name, so it does happen, it's merely a question of whether it's traditional, optional, or unusual to change last names.
Heck, for all we know it may be TRADITIONAL for the MEN to change their surnames in Night Elven society! (Malfurian Whisperwind, anybody?)
Rhamona Q Nov 26th 2011 1:41PM
When you live for thousands of years, it's probably simpler for everyone if you stick with one name your whole life.
Neirin Nov 26th 2011 2:00PM
Night Elves are also matriarchal, so if anything Malfurion would likely be the one to change his name.
Mork Nov 26th 2011 3:44PM
They probably just didn't want to cough up the RL money for a name change, with as much time they spend playing they can probably ill afford extras.
John Patrick Nov 26th 2011 5:26PM
@Neirin
Good point! I believe the lore is such a big part of this game, and the cultural aspects of the different races are certainly a portion of that.
For me at least, the extra dimension to the characters that Blizzard brings out in lore is why this game is so enjoyable. Some argue that newer MMO games have better character rendering or mechanics - but without the superior lore we have in WoW, those games have as much appeal as playing "Adventure" on the Atari 2600.
Luke Nov 26th 2011 8:52PM
Are we sure that those could even be considered last names, and not titles?
staffan.johansson Nov 26th 2011 10:22PM
@Luke: Malfurion's brother Illidan is also a Stormrage, so at least there's a family element there. And Fandral Staghelm's son was named Valstann Staghelm, indicating that there's an element of inheritance to the names.
dazziq Nov 26th 2011 12:12PM
Do you think any potential children would carry the Stormrage name?
After 10,000 years, do you think she could even HAVE children?
