Most of the speculation on Symbiosis assumes that the "abilities" will be castable. I am not sure that giving both the druid and the target class a new castable skill is even possible with the current UI. My guess is that only passive skills or buffs will be traded such as haste and crit bonuses. This would make Symbiosis similar to the other castable buffs such as Focus Magic and Dark Intent.

If that were the case, it would read something more like:
http://www.wowhead.com/spell=30449/spellsteal
"Steals a beneficial magic effect from the target. This effect lasts a maximum of 2 min."

I think they easiest solution would be to give everyone a "Symbiosis placeholder" spell, that can be dragged on bars even without a druid casting Symbiosis on you, and then gets replaced by the UI. That, or you receive an interface warning when you get buffed, and see a spell button to drag onto your bars. It _is_ a long-duration buff, which could justify that.

In the Dragon Soul raid for one boss fight - I think it was Ultraxion - you get a new ability to shift yourself out of his realm. You get an all new action button for it and I think they will utilize this for the symbiosis abilities.
