Breakfast Topic: Which storyline do you want more of?

WoW has so many ongoing storylines that it's hard to keep track of them all. Occasionally, they blend and merge, and sometimes they simply drift off without any sort of resolution. Sometimes we can get all caught up in the story and then abruptly it's gone. Sometimes storylines are resolved in books and unless you make a point of reading the novels or the comics you have no way of knowing what eventually happened, unless you can find some random NPC who will drop hints.
I've never managed to pull off Loremaster, so I've missed the ends of lots of storylines. I do always perk up a bit when I hear bits about the Old Gods. This particular storyline is fascinating to me, and it always just seems to show up in hints and winks, with occasionally an Old God turning up as a big boss. I know I would like to see more happening with these guys, like the sneaky little voice that show up sometimes with archaeology.
What about you? Are there any stories that petered out that you want to hear the end of? Do you like catching the beginning of the story and filling in the blanks in the Caverns of Time? Do you hope other old stories get revived?

Simple: I want more Tyrande, or actually, any Tyrande at all would be great! And I'm saying this as a primarily Horde player.
Also, I can never get enough of Trolls (d'oh), especially of our very sexy leader Vol'jin!

I would agree with you, but unless they make a drastic change to her personality in the books, (back towards the WC3 Tyrande), she makes for a very dull character.

Absolutely! The troll stories must go on.
-Vol'jin going against Garrosh sooner or later seems inevitable. With the Darkspears left as the most powerful troll tribe, that should strengthen his position even more.
- The Zandalari plot is far from being finished. What else does King Rastakhan have up his sleeves? And who's the seductive Zul prophet if it's not Deathwing?
- Zuni! Please come back! We miss you soo much!

I support more troll lore, but only if it introduces a pair of background trolls named U'mad and Cul'storri.

@DeathPaladin: I had to link this because of you...

@durandal: During the Mists of Pandaria panel at Blizzcon, they showed an early map of Pandaria. There was a small island off the north - "Zandalar Isle".

I want to find out what the forsaken are up to.
Darky Nov 28th 2011 8:16AM
As a forsaken loyalist (I have 4 forsaken toons) I think we've had quite enough time in the light for a while. (compared to the other races).
-Enlisting the valkyr
-Using said valkyr to unwillingly ressurect new forsaken
-Sylvanuses path towards the lich king which we were hinted towards the end of the silverpine quests.
-Dominating both gilneas and south shore
-Developing a new plague.
-STILL having rogue apothecaries using the plague against their own kind.
-Obvious signs of detachment from the horde.
-Capturing koltira and thus showing that sylvanus rules over all Horde DKs.
And I'm sure theres more that I have missed but you get my point, (compared to the worgen's entire story line being encased into a horde only zone and their starter zone).

Just a list of things we have done in this expac alone.

If you haven't read Sylvanus' Leader Story yet, you are SO missing out.
Darky Nov 28th 2011 8:07AM
I really can't pick one, but mainly (as a primarily horde player) Death Knights, Worgen, Draenai simply because all 3 have really interesting storylines that just trailed off, or ended abruptly in the case of the worgens.
Oooh also Bolavar's position as the LK, that one is sure to turn out interesting.
ravyncat Nov 28th 2011 12:53PM
All three of these for me too.
The Draenei are my favorite race and I would love to see more of their story. Ditto with DK's being my favorite class.
The poor Worgen deserve better than they got too.

storylines..
a. A storyline where Varian Wyrnn follows through on his action in the Ulduar trailer and goes primeval on something Horde, s opposed to standing in his throne room and gettting saved by Anduin when someone throws a dagger at him.
b. A storyline where the Horde actually lose something "IN-GAME", instead of finding out from a post that they lost something in a book.
c. A follow-up to Myra the Wildhammer Shaman of the earthern ring. She got a lot of faacetime in Deepholm, and a bit more in Twilight Highlands. That woman has the 'tude, and is lumpy in the right places too!!
Darky Nov 28th 2011 8:20AM
The horde lost the airship in deepholm :P.
raingod Nov 28th 2011 8:24AM
Didn't take long for the Alliance whining like a 2 year old to start.
Noyou Nov 28th 2011 12:16PM
You summed it up perfectly. The only thing I would add to it is, any Alliance storyline. Pick one, just one and lay it on thick. I'm not greedy. And yes, please let it be in game and not in the books. I would love for them to sort out the leadership of the Dwarves and not have the council of three hammers (although that does sound catchy...) but I am not too picky. Something Gnomish or Draenei would be cool, if I had to be more specific.
ravyncat Nov 28th 2011 12:55PM
Stormcaller Myra is awesome. We definitely need a lot more of her.
She, along with Goldmine, are my favorite Shaman. And in that vein, more Goldmine would be fun too.
Rezai Nov 28th 2011 8:09AM
I'd love to find out what Lillian Voss has been up too.
Fuzzl Nov 28th 2011 8:09AM
Definitely the Sylvanas storyline. I'm sure it's bound to get addressed at some point since it seems like a very major division line in the Horde, but I still would like more of it, even if it was just bits and pieces dropped every patch.
Cassandraz Nov 28th 2011 7:03PM
Seeing all this Sylvannas talk got me thinking... What if in some arcane way, ole Syl ended up a boss and Koltira ended up leader of the Undead. All the elements seem to be there for the story to me. oO
